WWE NXT tops 800k viewers for Tuesday debut

With the show debuting on its new night, Tuesday's NXT averaged 805,000 viewers, up 4.8 percent from last week.

Last week's NXT episode was night one of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, which was also simulcast live on Peacock. Tuesday's show featured the fallout from that two-night TakeOver event.

In the 18-49 cable charts, NXT finished higher than it has since before AEW Dynamite debuted. The episode ranked eighth on cable with a 0.22 rating, the exact same number it drew when it went head-to-head with Dynamite for the final time last week.

Here's how NXT did in the other categories:

  • Women 18-49: 0.19 (same as last week)
  • Men 18-49: 0.26 (up 8.3 percent)
  • People 18-34: 0.10 (same as last week)
  • Females 12-34: 0.08 (up 14.3 percent)
  • Males 12-34: 0.14 (same as last week)
  • People 25-54: 0.27 (up 3.9 percent)
  • People over 50: 0.40 (up 5.3 percent)

In men 18-49, NXT finished sixth for the night on cable.

Year-over-year, NXT was up 16.3 percent in overall viewership and up 29.4 percent in 18-49. That's obviously comparing to when the show was running head-to-head with Dynamite, but the move to having the wrestling night to themselves, at least for now, indicates the audience is skewing much younger.

Here's a look at the last 10 weeks of viewership and demo numbers for NXT (the show didn't crack the top 50 on February 10 so only total viewership and 18-49 numbers were available that week):
