Impact Wrestling introducing Digital Media Championship

Impact Wrestling will add a brand new title to its ranks later this month: the Digital Media Championship.

The newest Impact title was revealed on Thursday's episode. The first champion will being crowned in a single elimination tournament that will come to a conclusion in a six-way match at October 23rd's Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

The title will be mainly featured and defended on the promotion's social media outlets, as well as their Impact Plus streaming service. Both men and women were featured in the introductory video, indicating it will be intergender.

Starting on Tuesday, October 5th, two matches a week will stream first on Impact Plus and their Ultimate Insider YouTube channel. Four matches will air in the week leading up to Bound for Glory.

Zicky Dice vs. John Skyler (October 5th) and Hernandez clashing with Crazzy Steve (October 6th) will kick things off.

The title joins the World, Knockouts and X-Division title as singles championships in the company.
