UFC on ESPN+ 10 live results: Rafael Dos Anjos vs. Kevin Lee

The Octagon heads to Rochester for the first time with a welterweight main event featuring two men trying to get back into the win column.

Former UFC lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos looks to end his two-fight losing skid when he welcomes Kevin Lee to the 170-pound division for the first time in the night's five-round headliner. Dos Anjos is coming off back-to-back losses to Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman, and is looking to retain his top-ten ranking and get back into the title picture. Lee is making the move up to 170 pounds for this fight, looking to catapult himself right into the rankings and make an impact with a win over a former champion.

Also on the main card, Vicente Luque takes on UFC newcomer Derrick Krantz, who takes this fight on just a few days' notice after Luque's original opponent, Neil Magny, was pulled due to a USADA violation. Middleweight Antonio Carlos Junior puts his five-fight win streak up against the four-fight win streak of Ian Heinisch, women's featherweights do battle as Megan Anderson welcomes Felicia Spencer to the UFC, and lightweights Charles Oliveira and Nik Lentz fight for the third time, with Oliveira currently holding the edge over Lentz.

> Julio Arce (15-3, 2-1 UFC) vs. Julian Erosa (22-7, 1-3 UFC)
Featherweights

Both guys keeping their distance early. Eroas throwing a lot of kicks but not landing anything. Arce landing occasional punches from distance and the crowd reacting to everything he does as he's a New York guy. Arce lands a nice punch combo 3 minutes in. He has been controlling the pace for the majority of the round so far. Erosa initiates a cage clinch at 3:45. Quick separation. Arce lands a nice uppercut at 4:00. Eros lands a head kick at 4:30. Arce follows up with a punch/kick combo. Arce with a takedown at 4:45. Erosa to his feet as the round ends. 10-9 Arce

Arce's corner tells him that the round was too close to call and he needs this next one. They also told him that he's far better than his opponent. They both open more aggressively, throwing punches right from the start. Arce lands a hard right hook but Erosa weathers it. Erosa pushing the actioni in the 2nd. Erosa stuffs a takedown attempt at 1:15. Arce lands a punch combo and a couple of front kicks at 1:45. Arce with another takedown attempt blocked at 2:30. Arce with a 27-18 advantage in head strikes landed and he's also landed the harder shots. Erosa bleeding from the bridge of his nose. Erosa with a takedown attempt blocked at 4:45 but controlling a cage clinch. Another close round. 10-9 Arce, 20-18 overall

Erosa's corner tells him it's really close and he has to go out there and take it. Both guys throwing hard shots to start. Erosa pushing the pace early. Erosa lands a nice punch combo but Arce comes back with a hard counter. Body/head punch combo from Arce. Arce cut on the side of his right eye. Arce knocks him out cold with a head kick.

> Zak Cummings (22-6, 7-3 UFC) vs. Trevin Giles (11-0, 2-0 UFC)
Middleweights

Slow start like the last fight with both guys keeping apart early. Cummings throwing slightly more but nothing landing with authority in the first half of the round. Cummings lands a hard body kick at 2:30. Giles landing occasional punches and opens a cut above the right eye of Cummings. Crowd "wooing" and Giles lets out a huge WOOO to spur them on. Cummings controlling the pace and clinches up on the cage to 4:45. Giles takes control right before the buzzer. Close round, 10-9 Cummings

Cummings had a 16-10 advantage in strikes landed in round 1. Another slow start to round 2. Giles lands a nice punch combo at 1:45. Giles landing a little more this round and also doing a good job avoiding the strikes of Cummings. Action stopped due to what the ref called a low blow but the replay showed it connected with the inner thigh. To his credit, Cummings didn't seem to want to take any time. Cummings starting to throw more kicks after the restart. Cummings bleeding from a cut on his nose now. Giles with an 11-3 advantage in head strikes landed. They clinch in the center and Giles lands some punches to the body right before the buzzer. 10-9 Giles, 19-19 overall

Cummings' corner tells him that both rounds were close and he needs to take this one. Good advice but it didn't work for Erosa in the last fight. Giles with a punch combo 30 seconds in. Cummings lands a nice jumping kick and then moves in for a takedown but Giles stuffs it. Giles lands a punch combo and Cummings bleeding again from the cuts around his eye and on his nose. Giles with another nice combo at 3:00. Cummings advancing but eating shots. Cummings knocks Giles down with a punch. Giles tries to get up and Cummings secures a guillotine. Giles taps after fighting it off for a few seconds.

Cummings may have been losing. Either way it was too close to call and both guys really needed a finish and Cummings got it. 

> Patrick Cummins (10-6, 6-6 UFC) vs. Ed Herman (23-14 1 NC, 10-10 1 NC UFC)
Light Heavyweights

Cummins lands a nice punch combo 15 seconds in. Cummins with a takedown attempt at 1:15 but blocked by Herman. Herman lands a nice combo at 1:30. Another combo from Herman at 2:15. Both guys landing hard shots and this doesn't seem like it will last long. Cummins with a takedown at 3:00. Cummins stands up but Herman stays on his back, throwing up kicks. Cummins backs off, forcing him up. Herman rocks Cummins with a knee to the head and finishes him with punches on the ground.

Ed Herman asked to be on the video game. After 13 years in UFC, it's kind of crazy that he isn't. He said his son just wants to play as his Dad on the game. 

> Michael Trizano (8-0, 2-0 UFC) vs. Grant Dawson (13-1, 1-0 UFC)
Featherweights

Trizano with a takedown attempt early but they end up in a cage clinch. Dawson quickly takes control. Separation at 1:30. Both guys throwing a lot standing but not landing anything really flush. Dawson does lands some head strikes and opens a cut on Trizano's nose. Dawson with a takedown at 2:30 but Trizano up quickly. Dawson takes his back standing. Trizano shakes him off but Dawson still controlling the body against the cage. They separate at 3:45. Dawson cut around his right eye. Trizano rocks Dawson with a punch and Dawson instinctively goes for a takedown but stuffed. Dawson controlling a cage clinch with 30 seconds left. Dawson gets a takedown at 4:45 and moves into side control but doesn't do any damage. 10-9 Dawson

Dawson gets a takedown 45 seconds in. Dawson into mount and landing punches. Trizano gives up his back as he tries to get to his feet but Dawson flattens him out. Dawson landing hard punches to the head. Dawson working for a rear naked choke. He gets it and Trizano taps quickly.

Dawson brought up the fact that between pro fights, amateur and fights in the TUF house, Trizano had 18 straight wins and he just handed him his first loss. He said he wants to fight again quickly and then take some time off in the summer. 

> Danny Roberts (16-4, 5-3 UFC) vs. Michel Pereira (22-9 2 NC, 0-0 UFC)
Welterweights

Perreira rocks Roberts with the first punch thrown and then does a run off the cage that looks good but doesn't really accomplish anything. Perreira does a Rolling Thunder that doesn't connect. Crowd loving this guy. Perreira lands a couple of front kicks that stun Roberts. Perreira with a Superman punch and another jump off the casge. Perreira with a flying knee and then knocks Roberts out with a right cross that makes him land flat on his back.

This was a star-making performance as Pereira had a reputation for exciting fights and this didn't disappoint. Pereira was all smiles in his post-fight interview. He thanked Sean Shelby, Dana White and the fans and said he had a lot of emotion in there and just wanted to perform for the fans, which he did. He said he's here to entertain and to fight but mostly to entertain. 

> Desmond Green (22-8, 3-3 UFC) vs. Charles Jourdain (9-1, 0-0 UFC)
Lightweights

Green is the only Rochester fighter on the show and obviously a huge crowd favorite. He fought, and won, only 7 weeks ago and begged to be on this card so Jourdain, from Montreal's TKO promotion, was borught in on late notice, moving up from featherweight. 

Crowd with LETS GO PREDATOR chants early. Jourdain controlling the pace early. He's throwing wild shots and Green just seems to be waiting for his opening. Green with a punch combo at 2:15. Green with some body shots backs Jourdain up. Jourdain with a nice punch/kick combo at 3:00 but Green follows up with punches. Jourdain keeps trying for flying knees. Green with a takedown at 3:30. Green landing punches to the head while Jourdain tries to tie him up. Green with hard punches to the body but Jourdain to his feet. Green takes the back standing but Jourdain shakes him off. 10-9 Green

Jourdain opens with leg kicks. Crowd chanting USA now. Green slips and Jourdain pounces on him and slaps on a guillotine but Green gets out of it. Green with a 12-2 advantage in head strikes landed. Green barely misses a flying knee attempt at 1:45. Jourdain with a 15-3 advantage in leg kicks landed. Green backs up Jourdain with a nice series of punches to the body and head at 3:15. Jourdain follows with a nice punch combo. He's still landing hard leg kicks as well, which may be the difference in a close round. Green with a punch combo at 4:30. Green misses a late takedown attempt. 10-9 Jourdain, but close. 19-19 overall

Green lands some body punches early but Jourdain continuing to advance and landing leg kicks. Green with a nice punch combo at 1:15 but Jourdain answers back with shots to the head. Jourdain with a head/body punch combo at 2:15. Jourdain swinging for the fences in the last couple of rounds and just missing on a couple of big shots. Jourdain continuing to land leg kicks. Green gets a takedown at 3:45. Jourdain up quickly but Green takes him right down again and takes the back. Jourdain up again but Green controlling his back. Green drags him down again. Jourdain right up and separates. Will be interesting to score because Green did no damage but got 3 clear takedowns and Jourdain was dominating on the feet. 10-9 Green, 29-28 overall

> Aspen Ladd (#6, 7-0, 2-0 UFC) vs. Sijara Eubanks (#15, 4-2, 2-0 UFC)
Women's Bantamweights

Both ladies throwing a lot of punche searly. Eubanks picks her up and slams her down for a takedown 30 seconds in. Eubanks with punches to the head as she tries to advance out of guard. Ladd to her knees but Eubanks controlling her back. Ladd gets to her feet at 1:45. Eubanks still on her back and attempts a suplex but Ladd blocks it. Eubanks with a single leg takedown but Ladd gets a guillotine and drags her to the mat, maintaining top control. Ladd takes the back at 2:30. Eubanks spins tnto top position but Ladd takes the back again. Eubanks to her knees at 3:30 but Ladd drags her down again and landing punches to the head. Eubanks to her feet but Ladd controlling the back and drags her down again. Ladd on her back but Eubanks to her feet at 4:15. Ladd still controlling her back. Eubanks breaks free at 4:45 and lands a bunch of punches and gets a knockdown, landing more punches right before the buzzer. 10-9 Eubanks

Eubanks landing punches to the head early. Ladd pushes her to the cage but Eubanks takes control of the clinch at 1:00. Ladd quickly takes it back. Ladd drags her to the canvas and moves right into side control at 1:45. Ladd with knees to the body and moves into mount at 2:15, just smothering Eubanks. Eubanks gives up her back at 2:30. Ladd with a a neck crank. Eubanks out of it and gets to her knees but Ladd landing punches to the head while still on her back. Ladd with the rear naked choke. Eubanks gets out of it and works Ladd back to guard. Ladd landing elbows and punches from the top though. 10-8 Ladd, 19-18 overall

Both ladies throwing, and landing, hard punches to start round 3. Eubanks landing hard jabs and finishing the combos with left hooks. Ladd continuing to advance and throw punches of her own though. Eubanks with a 54-36 advantage in significant strikes landed. Ladd mixing in elbows during the exchanges. Both ladies looking tired but still throwing hard shots with little defence. Eubanks definitely landing more though. Eubanks landing a lot of combos. Ladd with a takedown attempt at 4:00 but stuffed. Ladd ends up in control of a cage clinch. Eubanks takes control briefly and then they separate. Both throwing a a ton of punches before the buzzer. 10-9 Eubanks, 28-28 draw

> Davi Ramos (9-2, 3-1 UFC) vs. Austin Hubbard (10-2, 0-0 UFC)
Lightweights

Hubbard landing leg kicks early. Ramos controlling the action but not throwing much. They land simultaneous low blows but neither takes much time to recover. Hubbard backs up Ramos with a punch combo at 2:30. Punch/kick combo from Hubbard at 3:00. Ramos lands a great punch combo at 3:45. Ramos with another punch combo at 4:15. Ramos with a takedown at 4:30 and takes the back. Ramos working for a rear naked choke and landing punches to the head and body. 10-9 Ramos

Ramos more aggressive to start the round, backing Hubbard up with punches. Ramos takes the back standing at 1:30. Hubbard throwing punches behind his head but Ramos drags him to the mat at 2:15. Hubbard escapes and to his feet at 2:30. Hubbard with a punch/kick combo at 3:00. Ramos with a takedown at 4:15. Ramos attempting a head and arm choke but Hubbard landing shoulder strikes from the bottom. 10-9 Ramos, 20-18

Hubbard more aggressive to start the round as he knows he needs a finish and his corner told him so. Both guys landing hard leg kicks. Hubbard landing punch/kick combos that back Ramos up. Ramos wobbles Hubbard with a punch combo. Hubbard on his feet but eating hard shots. Ramos takes the back standing and drags Hubbard down. Ramos landing hard punches on the ground at 2:00 and Hubbard covering up. Ramos working for a heard and arm choke as the ref warns him to work more. Ref stands them up as Ramos is throwing shots, which was weird. Hubbard advancing as he's got nothing to lose at this point. Hubbard knocks him down with a punch after Ramos attempts a spin kick. Hubbard doesn't want to the ground with him though and just throwing punches standing. He finally goes into his guard with 10 seconds left. 10-9 Ramos, 30-27 overall

> Charles Oliveira (#15, 26-8 1 NC, 14-8 1 NC UFC) vs. Nik Lentz (30-9-2 1 NC, 14-6-1 1 NC UFC)

Lightweights

Oliveira advancing early. Lentz throwing punches from distance while Oliveira mixing in kicks with the punches. Oliveira lands a Superman elbow but loses balance and Lentz gets control of a cage clinch. Oliveira breaks free quickly. Lentz bleeding heavily froma cut around his left eye. Lentz with a takedown but Oliveira sweeps into top position at 3:15. Oliveira moves into a north/south choke position but Lentz fights that off. Oliveira landing hard elbows to the head. Lentz to his feet at 4:45. Lentz with a punch combo. 10-9 Oliveira

Lentz lands some kicks early and then goes for a takedown. Oliveira takes the neck and Lentz does complete the takedown but caught in a guillotine. Oliveira with a body lock from the bottom. Lentz looked like he was about to tap but didn't and then escaped, remaining in top position. Lentz with elbows to the head. Oliveira landed an illegal upkick from his back. Oliveira got a hard warning but didn't lose a point. The ref starts them in the same position but Oliveira to his feet right away, which Lentz doesn't seem to mind. Lentz landing punches standing while retreating. Oliveira knocks him down with a punch and finishes him on the ground with hammer fists.

Rashad Evans was announced for the UFC Hall of Fame in July. He was a former TUF winner and former light heavyweight champion. His stats of note:

Welterweights

Krantz opens up by landing hard punches that back Luque up. He moves after him to the cage but Luque grabs a standing guillotine. Krantz fights out of it and ends up on top on the ground. Luque to his feet but Krantz still controlling his back and drags him back down again. Krantz working for a rear naked choke but Luque defending it well. Krantz with a neck crank but Luque fights that off. Krantz with a guillotine but loses position. Luque gets out of it and both to their feet at 2:30. Luque with a punch/kick combo that rocks Krantz. Krantz still throwing hard punches though. Luque bleeding from a cut on his nose. Luque stumbles Krantz with a punch and he's down at 3:45. Luque finishes him with hard punches on the ground. Krantz right up after the stoppage, protesting it, but it was a good stoppage.

> Megan Anderson (9-3, 1-1 UFC) vs. Felicia Spencer (6-0, 0-0 UFC)
Women's Featherweights

Spencer throwing kicks early until Anderson lands a hard punch to the head that the crowd explodes for. Spencer clinches on the cage. Anderson takes her down but Spencer right up. Spencer takes her back standing and drags her to the mat. Spencer landing punches to the head while maintaining back control. Anderson to her knees at 2:45 but Spencer still on her back and landing punches. Spencer with a rear naked choke and gets the tap.

Spencer said that styles make matchups and this was a good fit for her. She said that this is an establishing division and that she'd take whoever is next. Well, given that there aren't really any other fighters in the division, it's either the title or moving down to 135. 

> Antonio Carlos Junior (#12, 10-2 1 NC, 7-2 1 NC UFC) vs. Ian Heinisch (12-1, 1-0 UFC)
Middleweights

Both trading kicks to start, landing high and low. Junior initiates a cage clinch and gets a takedown 45 seconds in. Junior working for a head and arm choke. Heinisch just trying to tie him up from the bottom. Junior tries for a leg lock but gives up quickly and lands some hard punches nad elbows to the head. Heinisch to his feet at 2:00 but Junior still controlling his back. Heinisch tries to summersault out a couple of times but Junior manages to maintain back control. Junior gets him down again at 3:30 but loses back control. Heinisch to his feet at 3:45 but Junior takes him right down. Junior takes the back again at 4:00. Junior working for a rear naked choke while the crowd starts light USA chants. Junior with a guillotine but gives it up quickly. 10-9 Junior, close to a 10-8

Heinisch landing hard leg kicks to open the round. Heinisch backs him up with a punch combo at 1:15. Junior complaining about an eye poke but ref makes them fight. Junior takes the back and takes Heinisch down at 1:45. It was actually a head butt that Junior was complaining about. Heinisch to his feet at 2:30 but Junior maintains back control. Heinisch landing elbows behind his head to the head of Junior. Junior with a takedown but Heinisch maneuvers into top position at 3:15. Heinisch landing punches to the head. Heinisch landing elbows to the head as well. Junior in trouble and cowering up. Heinisch mixing in punches and elbows to the body at 4:45. Heinisch stands up but Junior stays on his feet. Big round for Heinisch. 10-9 Heinisch, 19-19

Junior knocks Heinisch down with a punch early but it may have been a slip as he's right up and looking fine. Heinisch landing punches to the head as Junior has slowed right down. Junior with a knee to the body that the ref said landed low and causes a break. Junior gets a hard warning as the replay shows it landed flush. Heinisch gets a takedown at 1:15 and takes the neck. Junior to his feet quickly but Heinisch lands a knee to the head that almost knocks him down. Junior grabs the leg and and attempts a takedown but Heinisch stuffs it and lands punches to the head. Junior takes the back standing. He slips off and Heinisch ends up on the ground on top. Heinisch landing punches to the body and Junior is exhausted on his back. Junior sweeps into top position at 3:15. Heinisch with a 101-27 advantage in strikes landed. Heinisch to his feet but Junior takes his neck. Heinisch fights him off and ends up on top again at 4:00. Heinisch landing punches to the head. Junior landing elbows from his back but not doing any damage. Heinisch landing hard punches from the top to close out the round and the fight. 10-9 Heinisch, 29-28 overall

Heinisch calls out Derek Brunson and Jack Hermansson for his next fight, which would both be good names for him.

Welterweights

They trade body kicks to start. Lee with a punch combo. Dos Anjos down but gets right up. Lee takes him down . Dos Anjos up quickly but Lee has back control. Dos Anjos separates  at 1:00. Lee with a punch combo and kick to the body. Lee with a takedown attempt but ends up in control of a cage clinch. Dos Anjos landing knees to the body as he defends his position. Separation at 3:45. Lee with a knee to the body and follows with a punch combo. Dos Anjos with a takedown at 4:30. Lee to a sitting position but Dos Anjos takes his neck at 4:45. Lee to his feet and back to the cage clinch as the round ends. 10-9 Lee

Lee goes right to the cage clinch to open round 2. Lee with a takedown but Dos Anjos takes his neck on the way down. Lee escapes but Dos Anjos to his feet. Lee goes right back to the cage clinch. Separation at 1:15. Dos Anjos rocks Lee with a head kick at 1:45 and then takes him down. Lee up quickly but Dos Anjos controlling his back. Lee works him around to front position. Nice punch exchange at 2:30. Lee with a great punch combo and goes right back to the cage clinch at 2:45. Dos Anjos with light elbows and punches to the head while he defends the takedown. Lee with punches to the body. Crowd getting restless as the action is pretty much stalled. Separation at 4:30 and both land hard punches that rock the other. Lee shoots for a takedown but stuffed at 4:45. Lee back to the cage clinch. Dos Anjos landing punches to the head as the round ends. 10-9 Dos Anjos, 19-19

Both open with kicks to the body. Dos Anjos with a takedown at 45 seconds and moves right into side control. Lee escapes and to his feet at 1:15. Dos Anjos still controlling his body. Lee takes the back and gets him to the ground. Lee working for a triangle choke but Dos Anjos fights it off and ends up on top position. Dos Anjos takes the back at 2:30. Lee to his feet quickly but Dos Anjos controlling his body and takes him down again at 2:45. Lee to his feet at 3:15. Dos Anjos controlling the clinch. Lee takes control and lands punches to the head and body. Lee takes him down at 3:45. Lee takes the back but Dos Anjos to his feet at 4:15. Lee drags him down and landing elbows to the head. Dos Anjos sweeps into top position at 4:45 and landing punches. Lee to his feet and takes control of the clinch as the round ends. 10-9 Dos Anjos, 29-28

Lee looking very tired to start round 4. Dos Anjos looks pretty fresh although Lee's corner told him between rounds that he was slowing down. Nice punch exchange at 1:00 with both guys landing hard shots. Lee dropped to a knee after eating a kick to the body but he seems fine. Lee with a takedown attempt stopped but takes control of Dos Anjos' back at 1:30. Dos Anjos fights him off at 1:45. Lee continuing to target the body with kicks and then goes back to a cage clinch at 2:15. Separation at 2:45. Dos Anjos defends a takedown attempt and Lee ends up on the ground. Dos Anjos takes his back at 3:30. Dos Anjos moves right into mount. Dos Anjos with a head and arm choke and Lee taps quickly.

Dos Anjos didn't have much to say in his promo, just talked about the fight and his thought process behind different transitions that happened. He wouldn't call anyone out, just whoever they want him to fight, which was a missed opportunity after a main event win for a top 5 fighter.
