UFC on ESPN 9 live results: Tyron Woodley vs. Gilbert Burns

Welcome to F4WOnline.com's live coverage of UFC on ESPN 9: Woodley vs. Burns, emanating from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Octagon has found its way back home during the pandemic as the UFC APEX, the home base of the UFC, hosts its first full UFC card in front of no fans with a high-profile welterweight main event.

Former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon as he takes on streaking Gilbert Burns in the five-round headline bout. Woodley hasn't fought since losing the title to Kamaru Usman in March 2019, and he looks to start his trek back to regaining the championship here. Burns has won five straight fights and has been calling for a main event slot since knocking out Demian Maia in March.

Filling out the main card is a heavyweight bout between Blagoy Ivanov and Augusto Sakai, a lightweight bout seeing Roosevelt Roberts taking on Brok Weaver, and Mackenzie Dern looks to rebound from her first career loss when she takes on Hannah Cifers. The prelims are headlined by a women's flyweight bout as Katlyn Chookagian looks to bounce back from a title fight loss to Valentina Shevchenko as she battles Valentina's older sister, Antonina.

Follow along with our live coverage of the event beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern time with preliminary action all the way through the main card.

They went to the original plan of interviewing the fighters remotely with Daniel Cormier at cageside and the fighter, Gutierrez in this case, standing on front of a UFC board with a headset. He asked for a fight with Andre Ewell or Miles Johns. He'd obviously put some thought into that as those aren't exactly big names in the division.
