NXT TV taping spoilers: Title change, final build to Brooklyn

- Jeet Rama defeated Chase Adams

Aubrey West, a female referee who goes by "Gearl Hebner," was the referee here. The crowd loved Rama.

NXT TV taping spoilers --

- NXT North American Champion Adam Cole defeated Sean Maluta to retain his title

Cole hit a shining wizard to the back of the head to win. Ricochet then challenged Cole to a North American Championship match in Brooklyn, but Cole turned it down. The War Raiders and Mustache Mountain each tried to get their hands on Undisputed Era as they escaped.

- Lacey Evans defeated Tenilla Price

The Women's Right punch got the win for Evans.

- Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight) defeated The Mighty (Shane Thorne & Nick Miller)

The Street Profits, with their music playing, got the crowd riled up in the bleachers to distract The Mighty and allow Heavy Machinery to hit their Compactor finish for the win.

- Mustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) defeated “State Line”

Bate and Seven defeated the enhancement team and then made their challenge for a Tag Team title rematch against Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong in Brooklyn.

- EC3 defeated Kona Reeves

Velveteen Dream tried to distract EC3, which allowed Reeves to hit the Hawaiian Drop for a close near fall before EC3 was able to hit the TKO for the victory.

- NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler defeated Candice LeRae

Baszler hit a knee strike and choked LeRae out to win a good match. Baszler applied the choke, but Kairi Sane made the save and ran her off.

- Tommaso Ciampa defeated Aleister Black to win the NXT Championship

The crowd started hot for Black as they opened up with a strong lock-up. Ciampa tried to win with wrestling early, then it slowly became a brawl. Ciampa threw Black into the steps outside to a chorus of boos.

The match got harder hitting, with Ciampa exposing the floor on the outside and trying to hit the draping DDT. The referee got bumped. Black hit the Black Mass in the ring, but there was no ref. Ciampa tried to used the title as a weapon, but Johnny Gargano ran in. He kicked Ciampa before hitting Black with the title himself.

Gargano was thrown out of the ring by Ciampa, who then hit an Angel’s Wings slam to become the new NXT Champion.

- Nikki Cross defeated Amber Nova

The crowd loved Cross. She won with a swinging neckbreaker.

- Ricochet was attacked by the Undisputed Era while making his entrance. Cole said he's not a coward and accepted the challenge for Brooklyn.

- Kassius Ohno defeated Adrian Jaoude

Ohno connected with an elbow strike to win after transitioning from a neckbreaker. This was Jaoude's NXT TV debut.

- Keith Lee defeated Marcel Barthel

Both were making their TV debut. The crowd gave Lee a superstar reaction, and he won with a Pounce and the Ground Zero (fireman's carry into a neckbreaker).

- Taynara Conti defeated Vanessa Borne in a Mae Young Classic qualifying match

Conti used a spinning slam to pick up the win and will be in the Mae Young Classic for the second straight year.

- The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeated The Mighty (Shane Thorne & Nick Miller)

Ford caught Thorne with a flash pin and the Profits celebrated in the crowd.

- New NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa did an in-ring promo. He said NXT is now the "A show" and he's the greatest sports entertainer alive. Gargano and Black ran Ciampa off, and Gargano took the mic to say he's the only reason Ciampa is NXT Champion.

Black laid out Gargano with the Black Mass and agreed that Gargano is the only reason Ciampa beat him.

- Kairi Sane defeated Aliyah

Shayna Baszler was on commentary for this one scouting Sane. Sane refused to pin Aliyah after three elbow drops and then locked her in the Anchor submission to finally end it.

- Tyler Bate (w/ Trent Seven) defeated Roderick Strong (w/ Kyle O’Reilly)

The Tyler Driver finished it after the two partners mixed it up on the outside.

- Velveteen Dream did a promo in the ring and said EC3 has made an enemy out of the Dream, and they will face each other at TakeOver: Brooklyn. EC3 made his way to the ring, complimented Dream’s fanny pack, and then said the time to fight has come. They started brawling, with EC3 laying out Dream with the One Percenter.

- Johnny Gargano vs. Aleister Black ended in a no contest

UFC fighter Cain Velasquez was videotaped in the crowd during Gargano's entrance.

Ciampa ran in to fight Gargano and Black, causing the no contest. After a brawl, William Regal made his return to Full Sail and announced Ciampa vs. Gargano vs. Black in a triple threat match for the title in Brooklyn.
