Tag Team title match announced for WWE SmackDown

The SmackDown Tag Team titles will be on the line this Friday night.

WWE has announced that SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode will defend their titles against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) on this week's SmackDown. On last Friday's special WrestleMania edition of the show, Ziggler & Roode retained their titles against The Street Profits, Rey & Dominik Mysterio, and Chad Gable & Otis in a fatal four-way match.

Before last week's SmackDown Tag Team title match got started, a brawl broke out between the four teams when Ziggler & Roode attacked The Street Profits backstage. Ford hit a frog splash on Gable near the end of the match, but Roode blind tagged in. Ziggler gave Ford a superkick, then Roode pinned Gable to get the win.

The Street Profits had been trying to get a SmackDown Tag Team Championship rematch since losing the titles to Ziggler & Roode this January.

WWE has also announced that Rey Mysterio vs. Otis will take place on this Friday's SmackDown. It will be the first episode of the show since WrestleMania 37.
