WWE Raw ratings drop three percent this week

Raw last night dropped three percent to 2.66 million viewers, making it the fourth lowest number in the modern history of the show outside of holidays and football season.

The decline was even going live, with a weaker NBA game than last week, but a stronger NHL game.

Raw was still third for the night on cable, trailing only the NBA and Hannity. The Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game on ESPN did 7.78 million viewers to top the night. The NHL playoffs on NBC Sports Network with the Washington Capitals vs. Tampa Bay Lightning did 2.11 million viewers.

The pattern was a slight drop in the second hour, which may have to do with the NBA game starting at 8:30 p.m., meaning they got 30 minutes without the game to bolster the first hour. There was a big third-hour drop, back to the usual pattern.

It was also the lowest rating outside of football season since June 12th of last year, but none of this is unexpected as it was clear the NBA playoffs would hurt Raw until they ended.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 2.79 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.77 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.45 million viewers
