WWE SmackDown ratings down against 'Roseanne' premiere

Tuesday night's SmackDown on the USA Network averaged 2.576 million viewers, down 11 percent from last week's return of Daniel Bryan.

The rating was hurt by the monstrous number that the premiere of ABC's "Roseanne" reboot garnered, with over 18 million viewers tuning in for the return of the '90s sitcom. Numbers were down across the board for all of the other network shows.

On cable television, SmackDown finished a higher-than-usual fourth in total viewers and was on top in the 18-49 demo with a 0.78 rating.

SmackDown retained just 77 percent of Raw's audience from the night before due to the strong competition. Year-over-year, they were down five percent from the same week in 2017. The audience total was the lowest since the February 13th episode did 2.449 million viewers.
