WWE SmackDown ratings up slightly from last week

Overnight ratings are in for last night's SmackDown on FOX. The show averaged 2.49 million viewers, up slightly but virtually the same as last week.

Hour one averaged 2.542 million viewers. The audience then dropped four percent for the second hour, averaging 2.438 million. That's right in the range of the usual drop for the show.

In the 18-34 demo, SmackDown averaged a 0.5 rating, up 11 percent from last week. SmackDown topped all network programming by a significant margin in that category, with no other show doing above a 0.3.

In 18-49, SmackDown also finished on top of all other network television with a 0.7 rating, identical to last week. The closest network competition did a 0.6.

In total viewers, SmackDown did finish last among the major networks. It should be noted that the most popular Friday night program, CBS' Blue Bloods, aired a repeat episode last night.

Last night's SmackDown was the brand's go-home show for Super ShowDown and featured an appearance by Goldberg to build up his upcoming Universal Championship match against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.
