WWE SmackDown ratings up for Survivor Series go-home show

The overnight ratings are in for SmackDown -- and the show averaged 2.6 million viewers on FOX last night, up 11 percent from last week.

Perhaps more importantly, SmackDown was up in the demos as well. In 18-34, SmackDown averaged a 0.5 rating, up 25 percent from the previous week. In 18-49, it averaged a 0.8 rating, up 14 percent.

The show topped all of network TV in the key demos, with CBS' Hawaii 5-0 tying SmackDown in the 18-49 ratings. The overall viewership number was only good for fourth place among networks, however.

SmackDown opened with 2.701 million viewers for the first hour and dropped seven percent in hour two, averaging 2.5 million.

This was the first of four straight nights of WWE programming in the Chicago area. NXT TakeOver: WarGames airs tonight, followed by Survivor Series and Monday Night Raw.
