WWE 205 Live results: Enzo Amore teams with Alexander & Metalik

The Big Takeaway --

Enzo Amore is clearly being positioned as the top star of the show -- with a strong supporting cast to ensure that he looks as good as possible.

Brian Kendrick also got his first major win in quite some time in surprising fashion. He and Jack Gallagher had an incredible brawl that saw some fortuitous juice and couldn't have been done any better. The TJP and Rich Swann storyline continued to move along at a brisk pace as well.

Show Recap --

The show began with a recap of the many angles Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick have been involved in. Vic Joseph and Corey Graves then welcomed us to the show and hyped up tonight's six-man tag main event.

Kendrick and Gallagher's no disqualification match kicked off the episode as Kendrick entered looking serious. Gallagher came down in his full dress garb, sans a jacket.

Brian Kendrick defeated Jack Gallagher in a no DQ match

Gallagher started off with forearms and punches. They then fought to the floor, with Graves saying Gallagher is more like Jack the Ripper than Gentleman Jack against Kendrick.

Gallagher sent Kendrick over the barricade with his normal corner dropkick. Kendrick got tossed into a barricade and then into the tron. Gallagher mounted him on the announce table and rained down punches. Kendrick fought back with a kendo stick to the gut and a variety of attacks with the steps.

Kendrick trapped Gallagher in the ring apron before landing more kendo stick shots. Gallagher got split open, so the referee and doctor checked on him. Kendrick grabbed the ring bell and, as Bobby Heenan once said, "what the hell, use the bell!" -- which Kendrick did as he DDT'd Gallagher on it.

Kendrick followed up by taking Gallagher out with a Captain's Hook using the kendo stick. Gallagher didn't tap out, and instead passed out to end the match. This was short and pretty much perfect -- there was no better way to imagine this match being done.

Dasha Fuentes interviewed Drew Gulak, Noam Dar, and Tony Nese about their main event match tonight. Dar said he underestimated Enzo Amore on Raw last night and that Dar truly beat himself -- because he was busy on Sunday night.

Gulak said that Amore is coming to 205 Live to hurt the show and doesn't believe that Amore can cut it in the cruiserweight division. Nese was amused at Amore's lack of an eight-pack.

TJP came out on crutches to do commentary for Rich Swann vs. Ariya Daivari.

Rich Swann defeated Ariya Daivari

TJP said it isn't a race to get back -- he's taking his time to heal up. Swann got a headlock, flipped over Daivari, and then hit a big dropkick for two. He hit a slam and a back kick to the gut, but Daivari sent him into the announce table.

Daivari grabbed TJP's crutch, so TJP got it back and Swann pinned Daivari with a small package -- giving TJP plausible deniability for his past events. Daivari and TJP brawled and TJP fired up with flying attacks and a kip-up. Swann, deadpan, gave him his crutch. TJP threw it down and hit a detonation kick.

Amore met with his partners tonight and told them that he's as permanent as a marker and going to be a player/coach here. Amore compared his partners to pizza ingredients, with Metalik being spicy cheese.

It was then time for the main event, with Nese, Gulak, and Dar coming out first. The faces got a better reaction, with Amore's pop being fairly impressive. Amore called Nese a male stripper and said they're all S-A-W-F-T.

Amore and Gulak started things off as Graves talked about how Amore may struggle in a finesse-based division. He said that Amore's style may not mesh with the cruiserweights.

Gulak sent Amore into the corner before Nese and Alexander tagged in while Neville stared at the TV. Nese posed and got taken down by Alexander, who connected with a big dropkick.

Amore came in and ate a dropkick from Nese. He hit a flatliner for two before a brawl broke out and Alexander and Metalik dove to the outside on Gulak and Nese -- showing off not only great skills, but also matching gear. Amore teased a dive, but he ate a flying forearm from Nese. Nese mocked Amore, who was out after Alexander got a blind tag.

Alexander ran wild on Nese before Gulak came in and slowed the pace down. Alexander hit the handspring roundhouse kick before he tagged in Metalik. Metalik hit a springboard arm drag on Nese and a superkick, then a double-jump dropkick got two.

Metalik came in, but he got sent down by Gulak. Amore entered and hit the Jawdunzo on Dar before pinning Nese with a schoolboy while using the ropes.

Neville looked on laughing at Amore thinking he has a chance against him.
