WWE 205 Live results: Six-man tag, Alexander vs. Daivari

Tony Nese defeating Cedric Alexander in last week's number one contender's tournament final was recapped, along with Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy turning against Nese. Tonight's main event features Cedric Alexander vs. Ariya Daivari in a match with post-WrestleMania title shot implications.

The Lucha House Party came down and declared it to be Lucha Time until thankfully being interrupted by Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher.

The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik) defeated Drew Gulak, Jack Gallagher & Humberto Carrillo

Carrillo worked quickly with Metalik before rapid tags led to the heels being flustered. Metalik landed the rope-walk dropkick for one. Gallagher tripped up Dorado and then chinlocked him. Gulak came in and got a one count off a chop.

Gallagher entered and went to take the mask off of Metalik before Carrillo kicked the ribs and got a middle rope dropkick for two. Gulak yelled at him for diving off the middle rope for that.

Kalisto came in, hit the twister dive, and the Listo kick got two. A Kalisto basement rana hit, then the faces hit a pair of Asai moonsaults and a flip dive on the floor.

Everyone fought up top for a Tower of Doom spot -- and Metalik landed the powerbomb and then Dorado hit a dive. Carrillo hit a tornado kick. Carrillo went for a dive, but he got chewed out by Gulak. That led to Kalisto hitting the Salida del Sol on Carrillo for the win.

Backstage, Mike and Maria Kanellis were interviewed. Maria said that people are a bunch of haters. Drake Maverick said that if Mike thought he needed to use his wife to win after wrestling for 16 years, then he's got another thing coming. Next week, he'll face Akira Tozawa again and Tozawa will have Brian Kendrick in his corner.

Murphy was at the Performance Center and insulted Nese until Nese jumped him and they got separated.

Oney Lorcan, who was eliminated by Alexander in the number one contender's tournament, entered before the bell rang for the main event. He sat at ringside, with Nigel McGuinness saying Lorcan isn't an official member of the 205 Live roster -- but he's been in negotiations with Maverick and it may only be a matter of time.

Ariya Daivari defeated Cedric Alexander

Alexander dominated early with a headlock before Daivari got the advantage for a bit with some brawling in the corner. Daivari got two off a big lariat. He worked away with a chinlock, then did a full nelson and spun Alexander into Christian's falling reverse DDT for two.

Alexander hit a slingshot flatliner for two. A chop exchange broke out and Daivari got two off a frog splash. Alexander accidentally knocked Lorcan's jacket off of the announce table after hitting a dive to the floor. Lorcan was mad at Alexander and asked what's wrong with him, which led to Daivari getting a distraction schoolboy victory.

Lorcan threw his jacket at Alexander and attacked him before they brawled on the floor. Officials came out to break it up, but Lorcan gave Alexander a cheap shot before going to the back.
