WWE NXT results: Three more matches from Brooklyn

The aftermath of TakeOver: New York was the focus on the latest episode of NXT. Aside from fallout following the supercard, three matches taped before TakeOver in Brooklyn aired during the episode.

The show was ripe with recaps that detailed the current events in NXT. Johnny Gargano is the new NXT Champion after he defeated Adam Cole in the main event of TakeOver.

One storyline development on this episode played off the TakeOver main event. A tease of instability showed cracks in the foundation of Undisputed Era. Cole blamed Roderick Strong for costing him the title during the TakeOver main event -- so the plot thickened in that regard.

Candice LeRae defeated Aliyah (w/ Vanessa Borne)

LeRae pinned Aliyah with a springboard quebrada. Aliyah had an early advantage before taunting and posing. LeRae struck to momentarily gain an advantage.

Borne caused a distraction to set up the heat spot. Aliyah slapped LeRae -- which ignited a fire that led to a comeback. LeRae fired up with a flurry of offense that led to a lionsault for the pinfall.

Jaxson Ryker (w/ The Forgotten Sons) defeated Danny Burch (w/ Oney Lorcan)

Ryker pinned Burch after a sit-out powerbomb in a short -- but physical -- match. Burch charged in at the start with a shotgun dropkick for a two count. Ryker cut him off and began mauling him.

Ryker got a few near falls before applying a sleeper. Burch countered with a jawjacker to begin a comeback. The Forgotten Sons caused a distraction and were dispatched by Burch with help from Lorcan. Nevertheless, Ryker caught Burch with a sit-out powerbomb for the pinfall.

After the match, The Forgotten Sons administered a beatdown on Burch and Lorcan following a brawl. Burch and Lorcan tried to fight them off, but the three-on-two numbers advantage was too great. Maybe this leads to a tag team match.

The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) defeated Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel

Much like other matches on this show, this was relatively short -- although it was longer than the previous two matches. This was still like watching a tag match in fast forward as things developed quickly.

Aichner and Barthel tried to cut the ring in half early on. Ford got a hope spot but soon found himself isolated from his corner. Eventually, Ford made a hot tag to Dawkins -- who proceeded to clean house.

Ford tagged back in as the Street Profits looked to set up their finisher. However, Barthel saved his partner. Aichner went on to execute a double springboard moonsault for a two count. Maybe one day he can win a match with such an impressive maneuver.

Dawkins tagged back to gore Aichner with a spear. The Street Profits were then able to use their doomsday blockbuster to score the pinfall.
