WWE SmackDown live results: Final build to Money in the Bank

WWE is back at the O2 Arena in London, England for SmackDown's go-home show for Money in the Bank.

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston defends against Kevin Owens at the pay-per-view. Owens has invited Kingston to appear on tonight’s edition of The Kevin Owens Show. WWE is teasing whether or not Kingston will accept the invitation.

Randy Orton, Ali, Andrade, and Finn Balor meet in a fatal four-way tonight. All four are participants in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, along with Raw’s Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Sami Zayn.

Mandy Rose participates in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday night with Natalya, Naomi, Dana Brooke, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Ember Moon, and Carmella. Tonight, Rose & Sonya Deville take on Asuka & Kairi Sane only a few days before Money in the Bank.

Roman Reigns made his way to the ring to the start SmackDown. He discussed his problems with Elias and Shane McMahon from last night. Reigns then introduced one of the solutions to that problem The Miz.

Miz pointed out he has five days until taking on McMahon at Money In The Bank. He’ll never forget McMahon attacking his father. McMahon and Elias interrupted and walked out onto the ramp. McMahon told Miz he’s not the wild card tonight and banned him from the show.

Elias promised to prove at Money In The Bank why Vince McMahon picked him to be the face of SmackDown. McMahon and Elias teased walking to the ring and taking out Reigns and Miz. Instead, McMahon introduced the SmackDown tag team champions, Daniel Bryan & Rowan. The fours heels surrounded the ring and attacked Reigns and Miz.

The heels beat down Reigns and Miz at ringside. The Usos music hit and they ran down for the save. They hit a double suicide dive but Rowan took them out. The faces fought back and cleared the heels from the ring.

Backstage, Shane McMahon announced Bryan, Rowan, Elias & McMahon against Reigns & The Usos in a 4 on 3 handicap match. If Miz gets involved the cage match for Sunday is off.  

Andrade defeated Finn Bálor, Randy Orton and Ali In a Fatal Four Way

Before the match, Randy Orton promised to win Money In The Bank for the second time. Zelina Vega and Andrade interrupted. Andrade promised to climb the ladder and become Mr. Money in the Bank this Sunday night.

Back from break, Orton was firmly in control as he worked over Ali’s leg. Ali rolled up Orton for a near fall. Orton fought back and caught Ali with a power slam. Ali hit Orton with a tornado DDT but Andrade broke up the pin attempt.

Andrade took control of the match and isolated Bálor in the ring. Bálor climbed to the top but Andrade cut him off. Andrade followed up with the double knees for another near fall. Andrade then pulled out two ladders from underneath the ring.

Andrade used the ladder but Ali rocked him with a superkick. Ali attempted a plancha but Andrade tossed the second ladder at Ali. Back from break, Andrade whipped Bálor into the ladder. Bálor fought back and hit the shotgun dropkick into the ladder. 

Ali missed a 450 splash on Bálor and Orton caught Ali with the RKO. Bálor hit a dive to the floor and took out Orton and Ali. Andrade was able to move and sent Bálor into the ring post. He then hit the Hammerlock DDT on Bálor for the win.

Andrade set up a ladder in the middle of the ring and climbed it. He possed on the top of the ladder. Suddenly, Ricochet’s music hit and he ran down to the ring. He leaped onto the ladder and climbed to the top. He knocked off Andrade and pulled down the briefcase.

In the back, Carmella promised to win the Money in the Bank ladder match for the second time.

Backstage, Xavier Woods approached WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Woods promised to have Kingston’s back when he appears on The KO Show. Kingston asked Woods to stay in the locker room because of his injured back.

Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring. She said this Sunday is the culmination of her feud with Becky Lynch. She promised it would end with her as the SmackDown woman’s champion. A video package aired looking at Flair and Lynch’s friendship and history.

In the back, Lacey Evans noted everyone’s focused on Lynch vs. Flair. She reminded everyone that Lynch as two matches on Sunday. She promised to win the Raw woman's title.

Backstage, Aleister Black cut another promo warning his opponents. He promised to make them all fade to black.

Shane McMahon, Elias, Daniel Bryan & Rowan defeated Roman Reigns & The Usos in a 4 on 3 Handicap match

The heels took over when they isolated Jey on their side of the ring. Jey fought back but missed a splash. He tried to land on his feet and injured his leg. Elias rocked him with a clothesline to take back over. Jey tried another comeback and climbed to the top. Elias caused a distraction and Bryan shoved Jey off the top into the barricade on the floor.

Back from break, Rowan hit a big splash on Jey for a near fall. Reigns got the hot tag and ran wild. He rocked Bryan with big clotheslines in the corner. He attempted the Superman punch but Bryan caught him with a kick.

The heels isolated Reigns to regain control. Elias rocked Reigns with a knee for a two count. Jimmy got the tag and ran wild. The Usos rocked Bryan with a double superkick for a close near fall. Bryan fought back and hit the running knee but Reigns broke up the pin attempt. Rowan and Reigns fought on the floor. McMahon made a blind tag and hit the coast-to-coast dropkick on Jey for the win.

After the match, Miz ran out and attacked the heels with a chair. Corey Graves pointed out that Miz is going to get the match canceled. Tom Philips noted that the match is over so it’s okay for Miz to attack now.

Bray Wyatt hosted another edition of The Firefly Fun House. He has a secret to reveal. Mercy and Abby want him to hurry up. Wyatt notes it’s time to reveal what he’s been working on. He said there’s still a lot of darkness in his soul but he learned how to control it. The screen became distorted. Wyatt put on a terrifying mask and wondered if his fans like his secret.

Ember Moon and Bayley both sent in video’s promising to win the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (w/Paige) defeated Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville

The Women’s tag team champions The IIconics joined in on commentary. Before the match, Paige revealed Asuka and Sane’s team name The Kabuki Warriors.

The faces had the early advantage. They sent Deville to the floor. As Rose checked on her, Sane rocked Rose with a forearm. Deville tried to re-enter the ring but Asuka nailed her with a hip attack.

Back from break, Sane caught Rose with a cross body for a near fall. Sane missed a charge in the corner and Rose hit a knee for a two count. The heels took over and isolated Sane. Asuka got the hot tag and ran wild. She hit a German suplex and hip attack in the corner. She attempted the Asuka Lock but Deville made the save.

Asuka rocked Deville with a series of kicks. Deville made a comeback and hit a big spinebuster. She was about to make the pin when Rose demanded the tag. Rose made the cover but Asuka reversed for the win.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton waited nervously for her upcoming interview with Lars Sullivan. Braxton tried to interview Sullivan but he just glared at her. She was so scared she couldn’t even ask her question.

In the back, Kevin Owens discussed his match with Kofi Kingston at Money In The Bank. He went on a rant about injuring Kingston. Kingston’s music interrupted and he made his way to the ring for The KO Show.

Back from break, Kingston was in the ring waiting for the host Kevin Owens. Kingston pointed out he’s the guest. He then introduced the host Owens but he didn’t come out. Kingston pointed out he’s out on his own and waiting for Owens.

Owens appeared on the big screen. Owens said Kingston finds himself on his own for the first time in 11 years. Owens noted Kingston is only the champion because of the New Day. He said he’s the most dangerous person in the WWE. A video package aired highlighting Owens career. Kingston wondered what the video proves. He threw the chairs out of the ring.

Owens walked out but teased entering the ring. Kingston finally went after Owens. They fought in the aisle way. Suddenly, the final wild-card Sami Zayn attacked Kingston. They beat him down and teased a powerbomb on the apron.

Xavier Woods ran out for the save but the heels took back over. Owens yelled at Kingston and noted he’s not on his own. He promised to beat Kingston for the title Sunday. He went for the cannonball but Kingston moved. Zayn attacked Kingston but he fought back. Kingston hit the Trouble in Paradise on Zayn.
