Other Wrestling

  • Last night’s AEW Rampage reportedly averaged 466,000 viewers in the fast national ratings and drew a 0.15 rating in 18-49. • Tony Khan tweeted about the last half hour of next week’s “Supersized” edition of SmackDown on FS1 going head-to-head with the first hour of Rampage: “I saw you’re doing a half hour head-to-head with us. I can’t wait to finally beat your main show head-to-head. It’s been a long time coming. See you next Friday for #AEWRampage on @AEWonTNT!”
  • Khan responded to a fan who wrote that they were concerned about his comments aging poorly: “If I’m not sweating it, you shouldn’t be either. This is what sports are about, set a goal & try your best. We’ve got a great #AEWRampage card Friday + big Dynamite matches Saturday. I expect to do well, but regardless of next Friday’s stats, it’ll be a great weekend for the fans”
  • AEW uploaded the post-show segment from this week’s Dynamite/Rampage in Philadelphia where Khan paid tribute to ECW with Taz, Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko, and Jerry Lynn. CM Punk also appeared during the segment and joked about being a former ECW World Champion.

Everything builds off a great foundation, and he’s very fundamentally sound. He’s trained by Pepper Parks [AEW wrestler The Blade], who is an excellent f------ wrestler. He’s respectful, he listens, and he’s not corny and doesn’t kiss a--. He’s everything I possibly want in a wrestler on a television show."
