AEW Trios Championship introduced on Dynamite, champions to be crowned at All Out

AEW tonight formally introduced the AEW Trios Championship.

During Wednesday’s Dynamite, it was announced that a tournament for the titles will begin soon, with the winners being crowned at All Out on September 4. It was not announced which teams would compete in the upcoming tournament.

Back in May, Tony Khan had mentioned that Khan had made Trios titles a long time ago.

“I saw Dave [Meltzer] reported it and nobody’s asked me on the record yet, but it is truthful that I have made the belts,” Khan said at the time. “I made them a long time ago, to be honest with you. They’ve never been seen, and I did have them made. I do have more championship belts in my possession that have never been unveiled than anybody might suspect."

AEW introduced another new championship recently, the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, that has been defended on shows outside of the United States. PAC most recently defended the championship against Conor Mills on the July 23 RevPro Summer Sizzler event.
