Tony Khan says there will be a new addition to the AEW women’s division shortly.

During an appearance on Strong Style on Friday, Khan was asked if he had his eye on bringing in any new female performers to AEW.

“I’m not going to say who, but yes,” Khan said. “Without naming any specific names or spoiling anything, I will tell you, yes. As for when and where, I suggest you watch Rampage tonight and get more info.”

“What I can tell you is that I’ll have more info on when and where you might see a new women’s wrestling star debut in AEW, I’ll give you more info on that tonight on Rampage.”

Khan also revealed on Busted Open Radio on Friday that there will be pre-tournament qualifying matches for both the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Cup. He said there will be more news regarding these matches on tonight’s Rampage as well.

“I will do everything I can to make the men’s and women’s divisions in Ring of Honor, and in AEW, as strong as possible,” Khan said on Busted Open. “Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, that’s going to show. Next week, in particular, on Dynamite I’m going to do something I’m excited about and we will give you a sneak preview, a teaser of that, on Rampage tonight.”
