AEW’s Tony Khan makes Impact Wrestling in-person debut

After weeks of appearing via video, AEW president and CEO Tony Khan has made his Impact Wrestling in-person debut.

Khan and AEW coach Jerry Lynn appeared in the Impact Zone and scouted the Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy w/ Matt Hardy) vs. Chris Sabin & James Storm main event on tonight’s episode of Impact. Lynn interfered and helped AEW’s Private Party get the win. Private Party are now the number one contenders to Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows’ Impact Tag Team titles.

Anderson & Gallows confronted Private Party after the match. The show ended in a three-way brawl between Anderson & Gallows, Private Party, and Sabin & Storm.

Since the AEW-Impact Wrestling angle began following Impact’s Don Callis helping Kenny Omega win the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley last month, Khan and Tony Schiavone have been appearing on Impact via paid ads where they’ve promoted AEW Dynamite and mocked Impact Wrestling. Khan revealed in tonight’s paid ad that he and Lynn were at the Impact Zone in Nashville. Khan said he asked Matt Hardy to come to this week’s Impact. Khan called Hardy his answer to what Callis, Anderson, and Gallows have pulled on Dynamite.
