Eddie Edwards signs ‘long-term deal’ with Impact Wrestling

Eddie Edwards has signed a new contract with Impact Wrestling.

From their television tapings in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight, Impact streamed a video announcing that Edwards has signed a “long-term deal” with the company. The exact length of the contract wasn’t disclosed.

Edwards was interviewed by Josh Mathews in the video, with Edwards calling Impact his home and saying his goal is to help take the company to the next level.

Mathews noted that Impact will have news on another signee on Sunday.

Edwards is a former World, X Division, and Tag Team Champion in Impact. He’s held the World title once, the X Division title two times, and has been a five-time Tag Team Champion with Davey Richards.

Edwards is currently involved in a program with Eli Drake on television. The story has been Drake trying to convince Edwards to turn away from hardcore wrestling and become his old self again.
