Former WCW announcer Mark Madden to guest commentate at TNA event

In his hometown of Pittsburgh this Friday night, former WCW announcer Mark Madden will be doing some guest commentary for TNA Wrestling.

TNA has announced that Madden will appear as a special color commentator at this Friday’s TV taping, which is being held at UPMC Events Center on the campus of Robert Morris University. The venue is hosting TNA tapings on both Friday and Saturday of this week, though Madden has only been announced for night one.

Madden worked off-camera for WCW for years and was then featured as a commentator in the later days of the promotion. He is a long-time sports radio host and columnist in Pittsburgh.

NXT star Trick Williams (the current TNA World Champion) is set to appear at the tapings on Friday and Saturday. The Hardys, Joe Hendry, Steve Maclin, Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Nic Nemeth, Mustafa Ali, Eric Young, Tessa Blanchard, Masha Slamovich, and Rosemary are also advertised.

The tapings will finish the build to Slammiversary 2025 ahead of the pay-per-view being held in Long Island, New York on July 20.
