Lesnar 'quits' WWE SmackDown in storyline, teases Raw appearance

Brock Lesnar, in storyline, quit SmackDown on tonight’s show.

Both he and Paul Heyman came out to start the show. Heyman said that despite Brock Lesnar submitting Cain Velasquez yesterday morning at Crown Jewel, he was mad, and that anger was aimed at Rey Mysterio. They showed footage of what went down after the match where Rey Mysterio drove off Lesnar with steel chair shots after he continued to beat on Velasquez post-match.

Heyman noted that since Rey Mysterio was on Raw, he can’t appear on SmackDown. He then said he and Lesnar would be going to Raw this Monday despite being a contracted SmackDown wrestler, and no one from WWE nor any network executive would be able to stop them. He then announced that Lesnar had quit SmackDown.

The Fiend Bray Wyatt, who was also drafted to SmackDown, defeated Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel to become the new Universal champion, meaning that SmackDown had both world titles for a few hours.
