WWE Augusta, ME, live results: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Submitted by reader Sean Stackhouse

- Finn Balor & The Hardys defeated Elias, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

The heels entered second, with Elias singing a song about hating Augusta. Anderson said that these two good brothers will walk with him. The Hardys did their signature moves early on until the heels got the heat on them.

Balor got the hot tag and ran wild, The Hardys hit Twist of Fates and a side effect, and Balor connected with the Coup de Grace on Anderson for the win. This was a good match that the crowd was into the whole time.

- Goldust defeated R-Truth

Truth jumped Goldust before the bell, then they brawled in and out of the ring. The match finally started and Truth got a bit of offense, but Goldust cut him off and rolled him up for the win with his feet barely on the ropes. Truth chased Goldust up the ramp and to the back after.

- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville defeated Akira Tozawa to retain his title

Neville took at least 90 percent of the match. Tozawa's comeback was short. He went to the top rope, but Neville rolled away, used the referee as a shield in the corner, then slammed Tozawa to the ground and put him in the Rings of Saturn to retain.

- Enzo Amore came out and cut an awesome promo. The crowd was with him from the beginning. Big Cass eventually came out for a brawl, with Amore putting up a fight until coming off the top rope and taking a boot to the face. Cass stood over him and said "and you can't teach that" before walking away.

- Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins defeated Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas

Rollins entered first and then the Miztourage came out. Rollins played it off like he was ready for a handicap match while being upset that Ambrose was there. Ambrose then entered and the teams fought before the bell.

Lots of heat on Rollins during the match. Ambrose got the hot tag, then they did a double suicide dive on the heels. Axel cut Ambrose off and they teased a two-on-one superplex before Rollins jumped back in for the save. Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Dallas for the win.

- John Cena defeated Rusev

The place came to see Cena. There were almost none of the "Cena sucks" chants. Rusev worked him over until Cena got his signature comeback. He teased the Attitude Adjustment, but Rusev grabbed the ropes. The referee was knocked down as Cena tried to pull Rusev away.

Rusev tapped to the STF, but the ref was out. Rusev hit a low blow and dragged the ref in for a near fall. He grabbed the bell and tried to hit Cena with the ref still groggy, but Cena ducked and hit the AA for the victory.

- Sasha Banks, Mickie James & Dana Brooke defeated Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax & Emma

There was some comedy early as Bliss tried and failed to kip-up multiple times while James mocked her in the corner before leading a cheer for Bliss. James then knocked her down after Bliss finally jumped up.

Brooke looked really good, including doing standing flips, good offense, and the crowd loving her. The heels eventually got the heat on James until Banks got the hot tag. She submitted Emma with the Banks Statement to win. This was much better than their house show match the previous night.

- Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus defeated Titus O'Neil & Apollo Crews to retain their titles

The crowd liked O'Neil and Crews. Cesaro and O'Neil exchanged chops early and the heels beat on O'Neil for a bit. Crews ended up getting the hot tag and showing off his athleticism.

O'Neil gave Cesaro a vicious shoulder block out of the ring, but Cesaro later slammed Crews' neck on the ropes. Crews turned around into a Brogue Kick and the pin.

- Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman by DQ

Reigns went for a Samoan drop early but couldn't lift Strowman. Strowman threw Reigns into the steps and teased using them as a weapon before the referee stopped him. Reigns hit the Drive By dropkick while Strowman argued with the ref, then threw him into the ring post.

The action got back in the ring as Reigns got pummeled again before starting a comeback and finally getting the Samoan drop. That led into a sequence of finishing moves and near falls until Strowman got knocked out of the ring with a Superman punch and hit Reigns with the steel steps for the DQ.

Strowman beat down Reigns after the match, hit a running powerslam, and started to leave before coming back to set up a table. He went for the powerslam again, but Reigns reversed it, hit a Superman punch, and speared Strowman through the table to end the show.
