WWE SmackDown live results: Survivor Series build continues

The build to Survivor Series continues on tonight's SmackDown on FS1 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Adam Pearce suspended Brock Lesnar last week after Lesnar fought with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Lesnar and Reigns got into a wild brawl that included Lesnar throwing around The Usos, referees, and officials. After Pearce announced the indefinite suspension, Lesnar returned to the ring and gave Pearce two F5s.

WWE will likely reveal Reigns' next challenger tonight.

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch were involved in the controversial title exchange last week. Lynch and Flair swapped their title belts after they switched brands. Eventually, Sasha Banks interrupted them. Lynch then walked off but first promised to see one of them at Survivor Series. Banks and Flair ended up brawling, which concluded with Flair running off.

A Halloween-themed match is also set for tonight's show, with Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs facing Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

The show started with a new opening video featuring the new roster.

Charlotte Flair Segment

SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair made her entrance to a big reaction. Michael Cole described the Flair and Becky Lynch's title exchange last week as feisty. Flair noted she's now a six-time SmackDown Women's champion, but she's not keeping count. She's not only the face of the division but the entire company.

Flair briefly mentioned last week's drama and turned her attention to the SmackDown roster. She wants to be a mentor for the other women and a locker room leader.

Sasha Banks interrupted and made her way to the ring. Banks demanded a title shot but Flair said this is a new era. Flair said she talked to Sonya Deville earlier, and she feels someone new should get a title shot.

Banks claimed Flair's just scared of her. Suddenly, Shotzi interrupted and came to the ring on her tank. Shotzi pointed out that she's never faced Flair and demanded a title shot. The fans broke into a loud "Shotzi" chant. Flair liked that idea and agreed to a match right now. Shotzi was so happy she shot off a missile.

Back from the break, Flair went for the moonsault, but Shotzi recovered. Flair was standing on the top rope, but Shotzi leaped up and hit a hurricanrana for a close near fall. Flair recovered and rocked Shotzi with a boot off the apron. Flair went for the figure four leg lock, but Shotzi used a small package for a very close near fall. She avoided a boot and hit a tiger suplex for another two-count. The fans broke into a loud "Shotzi" chant.

Flair and Banks started arguing with each other. Shotzi ran at Flair, but she moved and almost hit Banks. Banks and Shotzi had a brief staredown before Flair hit the natural selection for the win.

After the match, Banks tried to help up Shotzi, but she pushed her away. Shotzi yelled at Banks for losing and attacked her. She viciously beat down Banks around ringside and threw her into her tank. She then hit a senton off the second turnbuckle. The fans loved Shotzi throughout the match but booed her when she attacked Banks. However, they might have piped in the boos.

They recapped the Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns angle for last week, including Lesnar attacking Adam Pearce.

He said Lesnar would go to the offices and beat down Pearce. Heyman couldn't believe Pearce had the nerve to talk about Lesnar last week like he wasn't in the arena. Heyman realized what he was saying and ended the interview.
