WWE SmackDown live results: Survivor Series fallout


Tonight's SmackDown features the fallout from Survivor Series as the build to TLC begins. 

At Survivor Series, Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated WWE Champion Drew McIntyre after Jey Uso interfered to prove himself to his cousin. Reigns was upset with Uso when the men's SmackDown team lost to Team Raw in a clean sweep. Uso was the last remaining member of his team. 

Reigns was already upset with Uso due to losing to the returning Daniel Bryan last week on SmackDown. 

The Raw women's Survivor Series team defeated the SmackDown team when Bianca Belair and Nia Jax couldn't beat the ten count, leaving Raw's Lana as the sole survivor. Raw's United States Champion Bobby Lashley defeated SmackDown's Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, and Raw's The Miz won the pre-show battle royal.

SmackDown's only other wins at Survivor Series were SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks defeating Raw Women's Champion Asuka and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits defeating Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day.

Tonight's show will feature Bryan vs. Zayn, Otis vs. Baron Corbin, and The Street Profits vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.

Show Recap:

SmackDown opened with Jey Uso making his way to the ring. Uso noted everyone is talking about Undertaker's farewell at the Survivor Series. He thinks everyone should be talking about Roman Reigns beating Drew McIntrye. Uso talked about McIntyre's recent win over Randy Orton. He praised McIntrye but pointed out that Reigns defeated him. 

Uso was about to introduce Reigns when Reigns' music cut him off. Reigns and Paul Heyman made their way to the ring. Reigns slowly took the mic and told the production truck to play it. He and Uso then watched the big screen.

They recapped Team Raw beating Team SmackDown in a clean sweep at Survivor Series. After the match, Reigns yelled at Uso for losing and told him to leave the building with his brother Jimmy. They also recapped Reigns defeating McIntrye after Uso's interference. 

Reigns noted he told Uso to leave the building, but he didn't. He didn't ask for Uso's help. Reigns pointed out that Uso lost at Survivor Series because his teammates didn't fear him or respect him. That means they don't respect Reigns and the family. 

Reigns said he's not somebody in the back begging for Thanksgiving leftovers. He asked Uso if that's what he sees. Reigns feels like he's some guy begging for Thanksgiving leftovers because of Uso's failures.

Reigns and Heyman then walked off. Uso slowly walked to the back and was distraught over Reigns' comments. 

This was a good opening segment. Reigns and Uso were great in their roles. 

Otis vs. King Corbin

Otis against Corbin never ended up happening. 

Otis made his entrance for his match against King Corbin. He walked past Uso and headed towards the ring. 

Suddenly, Uso returned and attacked Otis from behind as he was about to enter the ring. Uso viciously beat down Otis with a chair. 

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode walked to the ring and mocked Otis for getting beat up. They made a bunch of dumb jokes. Ziggler even admitted they made dumb jokes. 

They got serious and turned their attention to the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits. 

The Street Profits made their way to the ring. They talked about their match with the New Day and praised them. 

Montez Ford is excited that they have a match with Roode and HBK. Angelo Dawkins corrected Ford, but he didn't believe him. Ford pointed out the similarities between Ziggler and HBK. 

Non-Title: Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode defeated SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits 

This was a fine match. Both teams worked hard for the time they had. 

On commentary, Michael Cole noted if Ziggler and Roode win, they will receive a future title shot. 

The Street Profits had the early advantage. Ziggler attempted a suicide dive, but Dawkins cut him off.

Ford attempted the frog splash, but Roode pulled Dawkins off the apron. Ford went for the frog splash anyway, but Ziggler got his knees up. 

The heels took over as they went to a break. 

Back from the break, the heels were firmly in control. They isolated Ford and cut him off from Dawkins. Ziggler hit a splash in the corner, and Roode followed up with a backbreaker for a near fall. The heels worked over Ford's injured ribs caused by The New Day at Survivor Series. 

Ziggler missed a charge in the corner, and Dawkins got the tag. Dawkins ran wild on the heels. He hit the twisting splash on Roode and Ziggler.

Dawkins then hit a cool looking twisting neck breaker on Ziggler. 

Dawkins hit the spine buster on Roode, and Ford hit the frog splash, but Ziggler broke up the pin attempt. The finish came when Roode rolled up Ford for the win. 

They recapped the feud between Daniel Bryan and Sami Zayn. 

Kayla Braxton interviewed Bryan in the back. Bryan has to accept certain things. He has to accept that Jey Uso has a devil on his shoulder. He also has to accept that Sami Zayn is delusional.

Bryan promised to defeat Zayn tonight. He noted that Zayn thinks everyone is out to get him. Bryan's not out to get Zayn. He's out to get the Intercontinental title. Bryan has to defeat Zayn tonight to get one step closer to the I.C. title. 

In the back, Kayla Braxton interviewed the Mysterio family and Murphy. Murphy had his arm around Aalyah during the interview. Rey praised Dominik and is proud he made his debut this year. He's also proud of Aalyah.

Rey is also happy that Murphy sees the real Seth Rollins now. King Corbin interrupted. He was furious that they're all of a sudden a happy family. He mocked Murphy and doubts he'll be with The Mysterio Family during the holidays next year. 

They aired a video looking back at the career of the Undertaker. It included his comments and appearance from Survivor Series. The fans chanted, "Thank you, Taker."

Non-Title: Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn defeated Daniel Bryan 

Zayn and Bryan had a good match that ended with a creative count-out finish. 

Cole noted that if Bryan wins he gets a future title shot. 

They came back from the break, and Sami Zayn was already in the ring talking. He doesn't think he should defend the title the day after a holiday. Zayn mocked the Thanksgiving holiday. He turned his attention to Daniel Bryan. 

Zayn feels that Bryan doesn't deserve a title shot. He already defeated Bryan. Bryan's music hit and cut him off. 

Bryan was in control early as he worked over Zayn's arm. Bryan took Zayn to the mat and worked over the left arm. The pace quickened. Bryan attempted a back body drop, but Zayn kicked Bryan in the face.

Zayn climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Bryan cut him off. Zayn shoved Bryan off, but Bryan recovered and rocked Zayn with a dropkick. Zayn fell off the top to ringside. Bryan attempted a crossbody to the floor, but Zayn moved, and he crashed hard into the barricade.

Back from the break, Zayn was firmly in control, but Bryan fought back. Bryan then hit a hurricanrana off the top for a near fall. 

Bryan slowed the pace down and worked over the arm.

Zayn avoided a kick and rolled to the apron. Bryan went after Zayn on the apron. Zayn raked Bryan in the eyes and rammed him into the ring post. In a crazy looking spot, Zayn gave Bryan a brainbuster on the apron. 

Zayn almost won by count-out, but Bryan made it back in the ring. Zayn immediately hit the blue thunder bomb for a very close near fall. 

Zayn yelled at Bryan. He attempted a second blue thunder bomb, but Bryan countered into the Yes Lock. Zayn fought back and made it to the ropes to break the hold. 

Zayn rolled to the floor, but Bryan hit a suicide dive. He threw Zayn in the ring, but he rolled out to the other side. Bryan hit another suicide dive. Zayn ran to the back, and Bryan went after him.

The referee counted in the ring and reached 7 when Zayn came sprinting back to the ring to win by count-out. 

On commentary, Michael Cole and Corey Graves wondered about Bryan.

They cut backstage, and Jey Uso was beating down Bryan. Kevin Owens and referees ran in and pulled him off. Uso stormed off. Owens told a referee to look after Bryan because he's going where Uso's going. 

Owens followed Uso. 

Back from the break, Kevin Owens approached Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman in the back. He's sick of their family issues affecting the roster. Owens mocked them and walked off. 

Reigns was offended and told Uso to take care of it. 

Bianca Belair defeated Natalya 

This was a good match for the time they had. 

Bayley joined Cole and Graves on commentary. Cole kept pointing out that Bayley was the first person eliminated from her team. 

Natalya backed Belair in the corner and rocked her with shots. Natalya followed up with a suplex for a near fall. Belair fought back and used an inside cradle for a near fall. 

Natalya recovered and hit a discus clothesline for a near fall. 

Belair fought back and tossed Natalya to the floor. Bayley got in Belair's face and told her to get Natalya back in the ring and not get counted out again. Belair yelled at Bayley to sit down. 

Natalya tried to jumped Belair from behind and almost hit Bayley. Belair ended up hitting Bayley in the face. 

Natalya threw Belair back in the ring and attempted the sharpshooter. Bayley jumped up on the apron. At the same time, Belair pushed off, and Natalya collided with Bayley. Natalya turned around, and Belair rolled up her up for the win. 

They recapped Jey Uso attacking Otis with a chair earlier tonight. 

In the back, Paul Heyman spoke with Adam Pearce. 

Murphy (w/ Aalyah, Dominik & Rey Mysterio) defeated King Corbin 

This match dragged, and the psychology was strange. The faces cheated throughout the match, and the heel had to overcome the odds.

Corbin had the early advantage, but Dominik and Rey Mysterio kept jumping up on the apron. Corbin remained in control. He attempted the around the ring post clothesline, but Aalyah stood in the way.

Corbin became frustrated that the Mysterio family kept interfering. Murphy took over and hit a dive off the apron. Corbin regained control and hit deep six for a near fall. 

Dominik and Rey kept interfering. Corbin was yelling at the referee that it's not fair. The finish came when Dominik grabbed Corbin's leg, and Murphy rocked Corbin with a knee for the pin. Corbin got his foot on the bottom rope, but Dominik pushed it off. 

After the match, Corbin demanded a rematch next week.

Michael Cole revealed that Heyman convinced Pearce to make Jey Uso against Kevin Owens official for tonight. 

In the back, Big E and Apollo Crews were hanging out. Kayla Braxton was in the background, waiting to conduct an interview. 

Sami Zayn approached and demanded they leave because he has an interview. Zayn mocked Big E for not being an Intercontinental champion in ten years. Big E thanked Zayn and shook his hand. Big E wouldn't let go and crushed Zayn's hand. 

Billie Kay interrupted Michael Cole and Corey Graves at commentary. She tried to get a job. Cole gestured to the camera to cut and acted embarrassed. 

In the back, Carmella talked about her return and not dancing for people's amusement. They aired clips of Carmella's return and her attacks on Sasha Banks. Carmella noted people jump for her now, and she snapped her fingers. Nobody responded. She snapped again. Suddenly, Banks' hand holding a champagne glass appeared. Carmella was shocked. 

Banks threw the drink in Carmella's face. Banks attacked her and locked on the Bank Statement until referees pulled her off. 

Kevin Owens defeated Jey Uso

Owens and Uso had a good match until the finish, although it worked into the story of the feud.

They attacked each other at the ring of the bell. They traded hard shots, with Owens gaining control.

Owens backed Uso into the corner and beat him down. He then tossed Uso to the floor. Uso sent Owens into the steps to take over. 

They showed Roman Reigns watching the match in the back. Paul Heyman was watching Reigns watching the match. 

Owens fought back and rocked Uso with a clothesline. He followed up with a senton but then went shoulder-first into the ring post.

Uso attempted a suicide dive, but Owens caught him. He slingshotted Uso into the ring post and followed up with two superkicks. 

Back from the break, Owens hit a Swanton Bomb off the apron onto Uso at ringside. Uso fought back and attacked Owens' injured arm. Uso slowed the pace down and worked over Owens' arm.

Uso missed a splash in the corner, and Owens rocked him with a superkick. Owens fought back and attempted the pop-up powerbomb, but his arm gave out. 

Uso then hit the superkick for a close near fall. Uso climbed to the top, but Owens cut him off. Uso pushed him off and attempted the splash, but Owens got his knees up.

Owens attempted the stunner, but Uso avoided. Uso grabbed a chair and beat Owens down for the disqualification. 

Uso continued the beat down Owens and cleared off the announce table. Uso jumped back in the ring, but Owens hit the stunner. 

Owens grabbed the chair and viciously beat down Uso. He looked into the camera and asked if Reigns is watching. Owens shouted that he fears no one, including Reigns. 

Owens called out Reigns and hit a stunner on Uso. Reigns watched from the back. Owens pounded on the table and told Reigns that he's waiting. Reigns was unhappy and furious.
