Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar in a last man standing match has been set for WWE SummerSlam after Lesnar returned and confronted Reigns on tonight’s SmackDown.

Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal title against Riddle. After the match, Reigns cut a promo asking the crowd to acknowledge him. Reigns and The Usos were preparing to leave when Lesnar’s music hit. He came to the ring and extended his hand to Reigns, who wasn’t sure what to do. He eventually went to shake Lesnar’s hand, but was immediately taken down by Lesnar with an F5. The Usos attempted to intervene, but were also taken down with F5's. The show ended with Lesnar standing tall.

After SmackDown ended, WWE confirmed that Lesnar and Reigns would face off at SummerSlam, which takes place at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee on July 30.

Reigns and Lesnar previously faced one another at WrestleMania 38 back in April. It was there that Reigns defeated Lesnar to unify the WWE and Universal titles, creating the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Lesnar had not been on television since losing at WrestleMania.
