Triple H appeared on the second night of WrestleMania 38, putting his boots in the ring.
The start of tonight’s show had Triple H coming out in what was a long entrance. He briefly talked about wanting to welcome us to WrestleMania. Pyrotechnics went off and after they concluded, the camera showed Triple H’s boots in the ring, a symbolic gesture that his in-ring career is now over.
On March 25, Triple H appeared on Stephen A’s World to announce that he will no longer wrestle, citing that he now has a defibrillator in his chest following heart issues that took place last fall.
"As far as in-ring, I'm done. I would never wrestle again. I have a defibrillator in my chest so it probably wouldn't be a good idea to get zapped on live TV," he said.
Triple H also appeared Saturday afternoon at NXT Stand & Deliver. As Tommaso Ciampa made his way up the rampway following a loss to Tony D’Angelo, Triple H came out. The two embraced as Triple H left to give Ciampa time to make his own exit.
