WWE Raw live results: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

The Big Takeaway: As expected, Mick Foley was fired as Raw General Manager by Stephanie McMahon in a show she dominated. HHH proposed that Seth Rolllins show up next week to sign a Hold Harmless Agreeement, meaning if Rollins wrestles HHH at WrestleMania and gets injured, he can't sue the company. The Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania is now a Fatal Fourway after Nia Jax defeated Bayley. The Undertaker magically appeared during the Roman Reigns-Braun Strowman main event. Undertaker choke slammed Strowman, but Reigns speared Undertaker, who rose up afer selling it for a few seconds.

Show Recap:

Foley came out and took a written statement out of his pocket. He read from it, thanking Stephanie McMahon and HHH for giving him an opportunity of a lifetime. It was an opportunity he put in jeopardy when he put Mr. Socko in HHH's mouth. He apologized and didn't want his problems with Stephanie to distract from the thrill ride of the road to WrestleMania. He announced he was taking a leave of absence.

Then he spoke from the heart and ripped up the index cards, saying HHH handed him those cards 10 minutes before he was supposed to go out. Crowd roared, but his microphone was cut off. Stephanie came out. She said she gave Mick a golden opportunity to be GM and she couldn't do it right. Stephanie said all Foley cared about was being liked, not what's best for business. She told Foley "I have two words for you: You're fired." Foley didn't even get a verbal comeback.

Sami Zayn came out before Foley could leave. He told Stephanie what she was doing was wrong. She has been wrong about a lot of her decisions but no one had the guts to tell her that to her face. Stephanie told her to leave. Crowd started chanting for C.M. Punk. Zayn said Foley has shown more class and integrity as GM in 9 months than Stephanie has in her whole life. He told Stephanie she should be ashamed to herself. Stephanie said she wasn't listening to him and he wasn't on the level to speak to her at all. She told Zayn to go back to the locker room and figure out how she's going to make it up to her later on.

Zayn started to leave, and he acknowledged it would be the smart thing to leave. But he wanted to do the right thing. Samoa Joe came out, but Stephanie said she had this. She ordered Foley to get out once and far all, then ordered Zayn to face Joe immediately. Zayn did a somersault tope on Joe right after that announcement.

Samoa Joe defeated Sami Zayn via tapout (12:15)

Joe did the elbow suicidia before a commercial and largely controlled the match. After a flying kick that sent Zayn to the floor, Joe threw Zayn into the post, then the dasherboards. They teased a countout finish. Zayn made his comeback after a clothesline and a crossbody for a two count. Zayn tried another tope, but Joe grabbed his leg for a brawl on the floor. Zayn sent Joe into the post, then did the dive through the ropes into a DDT, which led to another countout tease. Zayn went for the Helluva Kick, but Joe spiked him to the canvas, then put him in the Coquina Clutch. Zayn stayed in the hold for awhile and tapped as he was on the verge of going out.

Foley talked with Zayn backstage. He thanked Zayn for doing what he did earlier. He said it was dumb, but it was brave. Zayn was always told to never meet your heroes, but he's glad that he met Mick. The two hugged. Foley continued to walk in the back, and stumbled into Cesaro and Sheamus. He hugged both of them. Sheamus thanked Foley for believing in them. He walked over and thanked T.J. Perkins. Bayley walked up and hugged him. HHH then approached Foley. After a long staredown, HHH in his attempt to be funny said "Have a nice day." Foley walked out the exit.

Then showed Rollins working out again following last week's attack by HHH in clips that looked almost indentical to the scenes from his training video that aired two weeks ago.

Kevin Wilt, a specialist, did a live interview with Michael Cole and Byron Saxton from Birmingham, AL. Wilt said Rollins reaggravated his knee injury last week. When he was asked if Rollins would be ready for WrestleMania, Wilt said it would several months before he's ready to compete. He said no doctor would clear him for WrestleMania. He said Rollins was the most driven athelte he's ever been around, but his concern is if he does show up at WrestleMania, they would see him again back in the doctor's office the next day.

HHH will do a sit-down interview with Cole tonight.

Charlotte defeated Dana Brooke (3:35)

There was a minor "We Want Paige" that grew and grew as the match went on, but died off soon enough. After Dana Brooke took most of the match, Charlote pinned after a simple big boot.

Stephanie walked up on Bayley, who was still upset about Foley being fired. Bayley said growing up, she admired Stephanie so much. But ever since Foley brought her to the Raw roster, she's seen Stephanie use her powers to hurt people. Stephanie said it takes a strong woman to run Raw, so she ordered Bayley to face Nia Jax. If Jax wins tonight, she'll become a part of the Raw Women's Championship match and it will become a four-way. And it will be a no-DQ match. Stephanie said Jax actually does like to use her power to hurt people.

Jericho came out to big "Y2J" chants. He said his guest tonight was "the real Kevin Owens." Jericho said he didn't need Owens as a best friend because he has a lot of friends in Brooklyn, the Friends of Jericho, "Cheer me on, man." Jericho said Owens considers himself to be a cold-blooded hit man, but that's not who he really is. He showed Owens posing as a teenager in a Y2J t-shirt doing the Jericho pose with a Jericho poster on one side and a girl in a bikini on the other. He said he didn't look like a prize fighter, he looked like a "Fan of Jericho, he was marking out, man."

Then he advanced the timetable to 2014, when Owens reached out to Jericho for advice. He showed a DM exchange on Twitter, asking Jericho for advice. Owens said he was worried about pissing people off when he got signed to the WWE. Jericho said Owens told him if there was anything he needed. Jericho said he wanted to see the real face of Owens, the real face we saw at Fast Lane. He showed the look on Owens face when Jericho walked out before Owens' match against Goldberg. Owens had a look of shock, intimidation and kind of scared. Jericho said he wasn't Owens' friend, he was Owens' idol, his hero. That goes all the way to WrestleMania. In two weeks, when he's standing in front of over 70,000 friends of Jericho, he's going to be transported back to when he was 16, Owens was going to get a little dizzier because he's going to realize who he's facing, the Best in the World at what he does, the GOAT, Chris Jericho.

Jericho said if Owens thought it hurt when he lost the Universal Championship, it won't be anything to see how much it will hurt when Owens loses to Jericho at WrestleMania "you stupid idiot." Jericho teased putting Owens on the List of Jericho for stabbing him in the back and betraying him. Before he could, Joe walked out. As Jericho was distracted, Owens jumped Jericho from behind. Cole said Joe and Owens are now in a faction together. Owens gave Jericho a Pop-Up Power Bomb and got solid heat.

Crowd chanted "Stupid idiot" at Owens as he picked up the List of Jericho. Owens grabbed the list and tore it up. The fans booed the hell out of Owens for that as he put portions of the list in his mouth, chewed it up and spit it on Jericho.

Brian Kendrick defeated T.J. Perkins (1:23)

Perkins hit his Wrecking Ball Dropkick and a crossbody for a two count. He tried the Detonation Kick, but Brian Kendrick sent Perkins into the corner near the referee. Kendrick raked Perkins' face and pinned him with Sliced Bread #2.

Kendrick cut a postmatch promo calling out Akira Tozawa. Kendrick said Tozawa wasn't even in the country because to travel to the United States, you need a passport. Kendrick pulled out Tozawa's passport, which he claimed to have stolen from him last week. Kendrick said lesson #7 to Tozawa was don't leave things laying around.

Charly Caruso interviewed Reigns and asked if his match with the Undertaker is distracting him from preparing for Strowman. Reigns said the only time he thinks about the Undertaker he when he pictures Taker laying face down on the mat. Reigns said this was his yard. He got booed out of that yard.

They did a great profile piece on Goldberg. There showed all of his greatest hits from WCW, featuring Jericho, John Cena, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff and Randy Orton all putting him over. Goldberg said he had a 10-year-old son and his wife, neither of whom had seen him perform. He said he thought he could do it again one more time. The SportsCenter interview from last October with Jonathan Coachman aired. They showed Goldberg's win over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX, followed by the victory at Survivor Series.

Cesaro and Sheamus talked when Stephanie walked in for yet another appearance. She told them they would be in a 2-on-4 handicap match against Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows & Enzo Amore & Big Cass. If Cesaro & Sheamus lose, they lose their spot in the WrestleMania three-way Raw tag team title match. She wished them a nice day.

Nia Jax defeated Raw Women's Champion Bayley in a No DQ, nontitle match to make the Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania a Fatal Four-Way (10:19)

Crowd was distracted by various things happening off camera. Jax hit the Snake Eyes and a series of elbow drops. As Jax tried to bring a chair into the ring and Bayley started her comeback, the fans were doing the wave. Bayley hit Tomohiro Ishii's Sliding D for a near fall. Jax got the pin with a Samoan Drop. Sasha Banks watched backstage and didn't look all that sad that Bayley lost.

As part of Women's history month, they honored Mae Young. Saxton introduced her as "maybe the greatest women's sports entertainer of all time."

HHH came out for a sitdown interview with Cole. HHH said he was disappointed to hear about Rollins' diagnosis. Fans started chanting for Punk again. HHH said he heard Cole say it was HHH's fault that Rollins wouldn't be at WrestleMania for the 2nd year in a row. But HHH said Rollins was the one to blame because he listen to the roar of the crowd too much. HHH said he never understood that because he knows how good he is without the fans telling them they are. He said look at how many times that the fans have ruined Foley's life. Fans chanted for Foley. HHH said if you look at Foley's potato chip of an ear, it was all the fans' fault.

HHH said when Rollins dropped the crutch last week, the place became unglued for about 20 or 30 seconds. Then HHH beat the crap out of him. He showed Rollins screaming in pain and blamed it on the fans.

Cole said Rollins used to be HHH's protege, but the relationship turned toxic. HHH said he took Rollins under his wing. HHH said if Rollins was the architect, then HHH gave him the blueprint. HHH said when Rollins was knocked down and there was no one there to pick him up, he whined about it. HHH said the fact is, he is officially done with Rollins. HHH pulled out an envelope and handed it to Cole. It was come tickets to WrestleMania, which were nose bleed seats. HHH took the tickets back, and wondered if there was a way that he and Rollins could fight at WrestleMania. Rollins said he wants to fight Rollins at WrestleMania and vice versa. So HHH proposed drawing an agreement for a non-sanctioned match, if he cripples Rollins, then he can't sue the company, he'll draw up the paperwork for Rollins to sign up next week. HHH had to constantly played to the crowd to get a reaction, but the fans had mentally checked out. HHH told Rollins to show up next week, unless he's a coward.

Cesaro & Sheamus defeated Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Enzo Amore and Big Cass in a handicap match to retain their spot in the three-way Raw Tag Team title match at WrestleMania. (:35)

Enzo and Cass did prematch mic work throwing all sorts of derogatory names at Anderson & Gallows, including "The Cue Ball Connection" and the "No Hair Club for Men." Anderson and Gallows beat up Enzo & Cass before the match. Anderson went to tag Gallows, who was pulled off the apron by Cass. Sheamus pinned Anderson after a Brogue Kick. Enzo gave Anderson a Bada Boom Shakalaka afterwards.

The New Day did a taped promo. Big E. looked at Xavier Woods in a threatening tone and said "Do you have something you want to tell us?," clearly playing off the weekend headlines. Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E. reeled off various matches at WrestleMania matches they were looking forward to at WrestleMania.

Austin Aries defeated Tony Nese (7:53)

Tony Nese took a nasty backdrop to the floor, and Austin Aries followed with a tope. Nese missed a moonsault and Aries dropped a neckbreaker across the ropes. Aries couldn't get much of a reaction to the Pendulum Elbow. Following a missile dropkick, Aries hit the roaring elbow, which is now called the Discus Fivearm, for the pin.

Neville came out afterwards. Neville told Aries he could come to the ring and obliterate Aries just like he has every other cruiserweight. But he's going to wait until WrestleMania to make it more satisfying. Aries said that was the worst interview segment he's ever done on Raw. Aries says he sees a man who knows he's facing a man who is above his level. He told Neville to tell anyone who will listen that he's the King of the Cruiserweights. After WrestleMania, the whole facade that Neville has made up will be over.

Weekly Emma promo. She screamed "It's about me" over and over.

Video piece profiling Lesnar. He was asked why should he believe that the match at WrestleMania will be any different than his previous matches against Goldberg. Lesnar and Paul Heyman just smiled.

Strowman interrupted Caruso before she could get her first question out backstage. He was good, saying if the Undertaker was going to face Reigns at WrestleMania, he was going to need a shovel to scrape him off the mat. Crowd treated Strowman like the babyface.

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns fought to a no contest (9:06)

Strowman clotheslined Reigns outside the ring during an early Drive-By attempt. Strowman hit a spinebuster for two. After a long chinlock spot, Reigns landed a few clotheslines and looked to lift Strowman on his shoulders, but Strowman clotheslined him. Crowd started chanting for the Undertaker. Strowman missed a shoulder charge and went into the post. Reigns scored ten clotheslines in the corner, then got Strowman on his shoulders for a Samoan Drop. Reigns got the Drive By after Strowman rolled out of the ring, but Strowman threw Reigns into the ring steps. Strowman tossed a set of ring steps into the ring without a DQ. Strowman picked up the steps, but Reigns hit a Superman Punch to no reaction at all. Reigns went for another, but Strowman caught him. Reigns escaped out the backdoor. Strowman threw Reigns in the air, but Reigns caught him with a Superman punch on the way down.

As Reigns called for the spear, the Undertaker's gong went off. The lights went out and the Undertaker was in the ring looking right at Reigns. The referee simply left the ring and the match ended with no conclusion. Strowman went after Undertaker from behind, but Undertaker caught him with a chokeslam. Undertaker noticeably grimaced in pain, favoring his hip, but the announcers didn't acknowledge it. Undertaker turned around into a Reigns spear.

Reigns walked off like a conquering hero, but Undertaker rose up to end the show.
