El Grande Americano? AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mysterio? GM Rey Mysterio? What do you think the odds are that those three appearances are actually one SUPER-appearance? It’s 10:01 pm EST and I’m predicting that El Grande Americano vs Dominick Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship is hurtling towards us and GM Rey is just the guy to announce it!

We’ll see if my predictions come true, but first: EL GRANDE AMERICANO WAS SHOWN ARRIVING AT THE ARENA CARRYING A LIVE LUCHADORE OUTFIT-WEARING DUCK.

That had better pay off, I’m just saying.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mini Vikingo vs. El Hijo del Vikingo & Omos (w/Dorian Roldan)

Ok, all ducks aside, last week, Omos demanded the opportunity to beat up three jobbers to outshine Galeno who beat up two. Galeno as you may recall is the brother of El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr, so there may be some big man interference on the horizon.

As for El Hijo del Vikingo and Mini Vikingo, they have been in a blood feud for months that has led to hospital visits, brutal assaults and some pretty darn good wresting. Regular Sized Vikingo also took the Latin American Championship from El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Dorian Roldan is still cranky he wasn’t made AAA GM. TL;DR, eveyone’s miserable and this is going to be a fight.

Wagner and Vikingo started the match off, but Vikingo went straight for Mini and ran him off the corner. Wagner used the to kick him in the face and beat him from pillar to post. Vikingo turned the tables and hit a sunset flip from the corner, but got caught using the ropes as leverage.

Vikingo started messing with Wagner’s mask (the ultimate no-no) but settled for some clubbing blows to the head. Wagner came back with a pop up shoulder slam. Mini tagged in and dropkicked Vikingo in the face and nailing a tornado crossbody.

Vikingo got him with a kick though and threw him to Omos in the corner. Wagner tried to help, but the ref held him back. Omos tagged in legally and manhandled Mini as you’d expect a man three times (no, wait, four times) his size to do. Even Roldan got a shot in.

Vikingo tagged back in and went for a powerbomb from the top rope, but Mini countered it into a hurricanrana and tagged in Wagner. Wagner clotheslined Vikingo out of his shoes and then hit a Death Valley Driver for a two count.

Wagner tagged in Mini, but Omos got between them and sent him flying. Wagner ate a Meteora from Vikingo and rolled to the outside where Omos beat him up. In the ring though, Mini flew in with a crucifix driver and pinned Vikingo for the win!

Match Result: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mini Vikingo defeated El Hijo del Vikingo & Omos

Unfortunately, Mini didn’t get out of the ring in time and Omos wailed on him and Wagner on the outside while Regular Sized Vikingo stomped around the ring. Omos went to smash Wagner with the stairs but Galeno arrived and took out Vikingo and fought off Omos until Omos hit him with the steps, ending the segment

-Backstage, AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mysterio cut a quick promo about he is the main event of Triplemania and the King of the Luchadores.

-Backstage, Psycho Clown was seen and asked about whats going on with the Psycho Circus (aka gang of Clowns). He said he was getting everyone together to figure that out.

AAA World Cruiserweight Title Triple Threat Match: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Lince Dorado vs. Laredo Kid

Fenix won the Cruiserweight title from Laredo and even though he’s only held it for 22 days, he’s already defended it once against Axiom on Smackdown. Dorado won the #1 Contenders Quintuple Threat Match against Mini Vikingo, Octagón Jr., Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. so for Fenix this match is really killing two luchadores with one stone. He gets Dorado’s shot out of the way and Laredo’s rematch. Lucha Libre = Efficiency!

All three brawled off the top with Dorado slipping to the outside as Fenix took control of Laredo. He hit him with a Michinoku Driver to try and end things fast, but Dorado broke up the pin. Fenix threw Droado into Laredo to send him out and Dorado hit Fenix with a backbreaker.

Fenix offered his hand to Dorado but Dorado rolled him up about it. Laredo broke it up and Fenix hit him with a Samoan Drop-type driver. Dorado went for a breather, but as soon as Fenix went off the ropes, he got his ankle grabbed and things moved outside where Laredo dove onto Fenix and Dorado.

Laredo threw Dorado back in the ring and went for a cover but Dorado kicked out at two. Laredo hit a Northern Lights Suplex and then punched Fenix’s lights out as he tried to get back into the ring. Laredo hit a twisting splash on Dorado, but he kicked out at two. Fenix tried again to get back into the ring but Laredo punched him in the face again.

Dorado powered up and raked Laredo’s back before delivering a backstabber and a pair of moonsaults. Laredo got his feet up on the third though and Fenix made it back into the ring. He and Laredo started throwing hands in the corner with Fenix coming out on top.

Fenix grabbed a staggering Laredo for a driver, but Laredo kicked out at 2.5. Dorado came back in and traded chops with Fenix. Fenix went for a kick, but Dorado caught the leg and threw it into Laredo’s face. Laredo went for a double DDT, but got a double superkick for his trouble.

Laredo hit a pair of Destroyer DDT’s and pinned BOTH Fenix and Dorado, but they simultaneously kicked out at two.

Dorado took advantage and drove Laredo to the outside. He climbed up to the top turnbuckle with Fenis and hit a superrana. Dorado went back up, but Laredo launched him from the top rope onto the announce table, knocking him cold.

Laredo went for a frog splash, but Fenix got the knees up. He nailed Laredo with a Mexican Muscle Buster and made the cover to retain the Cruiserweight title.

Match Result: Rey Fenix defeated Lince Dorado and Laredo Kid

-Back from break, GM Rey held a “press conference” and was asked about Fenix’s win. He was stoked, saying that there would be more collaboration between AAA and Smackdown. He also said that they are negotiating a battle over the NXT Women’s title between Lola Vice (c) and La Hiedra. He then teased that they are very close to bringing a former WWE Champion to AAA who’s never been there before. Cool!

El Grande Americano Returns

A full 10-piece mariachi band played the beloved El Grande Americano out to the crowd. He arrived in a silver mask to a huge ovation BUT WAS NOT CARRYING THE DUCK! What happened to El Granduck Americano?!?!

Regardless, Americano made his way down the entrance ramp, slapping babies and kissing hands. Wait… reverse that.

Americano took his time getting to the ring, working the crowd and soaking in their admiration. He stood on the announce table and shook every kid’s hand. It was really wholesome. Once he got into the ring, he was handed a mic and said that he and the crowd had won together at Noche De Los Grandes. Together, they showed the world how great AAA and Lucha Libre is. How great the Mexican culture is.

He thanked all the people who believed in him, including the legendary Pimpi who reminded him every day what Lucha Libre is all about: Passion, heart and pride. Americano thanked his girlfriend for standing by him and the crowd for supporting him. He said that the victory is all theirs.

Americano then asked what’s next? He won Reyes De Reyes, he won Mask vs Mask and now he wants the biggest prize in AAA: The Mega Championship.

Suddenly, to everyone’s confusion, NXT’s Carmen Petrovitch arrived atop the entrance ramp and walked to the ring. That allowed four men in hoodies to surround the ring. Bronco Nima was the only name I caught, along with two others and what looked like Angel Garza, though Graves called him “Angel Humberto.” They laid a 4-on-1 beating on Americano

They all took off their sweatshirts and revealed shirts that said “Perros Del Mal” (Dogs of Evil) on them, the name of a faction that hasn’t been seen in AAA in years. They stood tall over the fallen Americano as the show went off the air.

Who are the new Los Perros Del Mal? Why are they there? and what happened to the DUCK!??
