Persephone set to defend CMLL World Women’s title
Persephone is now all set to defend her CMLL World Women’s Championship.
During the latest July 8, 2026 edition of CMLL Informa on social media, the current CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone responded to a challenge from Tessa Blanchard.
Shortly after, it was announced that Persephone will defend her World Women’s title against Blanchard on July 31, 2026.
Persephone and Blanchard have been in a feud for some time now. The duo recently faced each other in a tag team match on CMLL Viernes Espectacular, where Garra Negra & Tessa Blanchard defeated Keyra & Persephone in a two out of three falls match. Persephone was also involved in the recent AEW TBS Title Survival of the Fittest match. However, she failed to win the match, and the title was eventually won by Hikaru Shida.
The reigning CMLL World Women’s Champion for 125 days, Persephone defeated Mercedes Mone earlier this year to win the title.
