Injured NXT wrestler returns in new role on WWE Evolve
Adriana Rizzo began a new role on this week’s edition of Evolve.
Rizzo was introduced as the “new ringside reporter” during Wednesday’s show. She interviewed Harley Riggins following his win over Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Ulka Sasaki.
Rizzo hasn’t wrestled in over 14 months. She revealed in August 2025 that she was out of action with a torn ACL and meniscus.
Rizzo posted an injury update on June 25, stating that she now feels “like my old self,” although she stopped short of officially saying that she’d been cleared to return to the ring. She finished her statement with: “This isn’t the end of my comeback. It’s the beginning of what’s next.”
Rizzo had not appeared on WWE programming since the July 8, 2025 edition of NXT, where she organized a sit-down with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino, and Tony D’Angelo, and announced that the three would meet in a match dubbed the D’Angelo Family Final Battle on the July 15 episode of the show.
