AEW re-signs trio of original talent

Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds

It has been seven years since the birth of All Elite Wrestling. And today news broke that the company had re-signed three wrestlers who had been there since the beginning.

According to a report at Fightful Select, the Dark Order—Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds—have all signed new contracts.

“Earlier this year, Fightful Select learned that a number of contracts were coming up in All Elite Wrestling,” the report reads. “Among those were members of the Dark Order. However, that’s no longer the case. Fightful Select has confirmed that numerous members have re-signed and will be remaining with the company.”

“It is believed that Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver all signed new deals with the company to remain there.”

Uno appeared at the inaugural AEW event, Double or Nothing, in May of 2019. Along with Stu Grayson, he led the Dark Order’s so-called “Creepers” in an attack on the Best Friends, Angelico, and Jack Evans.

Silver and Reynolds appeared soon after, losing to Santana & Ortiz on Dynamite in October of that year.

Silver was last spotted on AEW television in May, part of a segment where every available bald man was thrown together backstage to taunt MJF, who was at risk of losing his hair to Darby Allin at the time. Before that, however, none has wrestled on AEW TV since December of last year, when they lost a trios match to Hook & Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs on Dynamite.

Silver has not wrestled since that month, but Uno has wrestled a handful of dark matches for AEW this year, and both he and Reynolds have been competing regularly for Ring of Honor. The Fightful report adds that in addition to wrestling, Uno is now working as a coach in both AEW and ROH.
