Hangman Page returning after nearly four month absence on AEW Collision
AEW Collision is known more for compelling wrestling matches than newsworthy segments. This week, however, may be an exception.
During a live stream on social media, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced that Hangman Adam Page would return to the promotion tomorrow night on Collision.
The wrestling world has not seen Page, a two-time AEW World Champion, since AEW Revolution in March, when he lost the main event to MJF. As a result of that loss, Page has vowed he will never again challenge for the AEW World Championship.
Khan announced that Page would open the show. The timing is intriguing—Kenny Omega won the AEW World Championship from MJF on Dynamite on Wednesday, succeeding under the same “never challenge again” stipulation where Page failed.
Collision is also airing from Page’s home state of Virginia.
Earlier in the day, AEW announced that Harley Cameron would be challenging Hikaru Shida for the TBS Championship on Collision as well. That will be on of three championship matches on the show. The card for that night so far:
- Hangman Page will open the show
- Harley Cameron challenging Hikaru Shida for the TBS Championship
- Speedball Bailey challenging Mark Davis for the AEW National Championship
- Katsuyori Shibata challenging Bandido for the ROH World Championship
