Jim Ross recently spoke on his Grilling JR podcast about Kenny Omega, where he labelled ‘The Cleaner’ as the best in-ring performer in the world right now. Speaking about Omega’s recent AEW World Championship win, JR would congratulate the new Champion and also call him the best performer in the world right now:
“He [Kenny Omega] believes in his own abilities, and I don’t know anybody in the wrestling business. on any side of the fence, that is a better in-ring performer than Kenny Omega, I really don’t. There’s some good ones, no doubt, but I don’t know if there’s anyone in the business today that performs at a higher level consistently than Kenny Omega.”

JR also revealed that he doesn’t want the AEW All In Wembley match between Omega and Ospreay to be a “passing of the torch” moment, he would prefer that Omega actually got a longer run:
“Well, I hope it’s not a passing of the torch [with Ospreay beating Omega]. It’s a little early for that. For me, I’d like to see Kenny get a fair, long, productive run. But, I don’t know what Tony Khan’s plans are. To be honest with you, he’s been very supportive of me and during my illness has, has Tony Khan. I certainly appreciate that.“
There’s a big expectation among fans that Omega will be losing to Ospreay at the PPV event,
