UFC commentator believes Conor McGregor is done in MMA
UFC commentator Daniel Cormier has reacted to Conor McGregor’s loss at UFC 329. McGregor lost via TKO at 1:09 of Round 1 after his knee blew out against Max Holloway, and Cormier believes that was the last time we’ll see McGregor in the octagon.
For the first time in his UFC career, McGregor did not record any significant strikes during the main event of UFC 329. ‘Notorious’ did manage to hit 5 of 11 total strikes, but none of these were recorded as significant. Conversely, Holloway was able to rack up 12 of 19 significant strikes in the 1:09 that the fight lasted. But, Holloway wasn’t even trying to land as the round went on, as he was trying to tell the referee to end the fight.
Daniel Cormier on Conor McGregor
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Cormier explained why he can’t see fans buying in to McGregor again after such a loss:
“If you ask me truthfully, I am more likely to tell you guys that it’s not gonna happen than it will happen. He’s very unique and I think the whole week showed that he’s the biggest star we have and the whole week showed that. I just wonder if he even does try to come back once again, do people even buy into it again and say they wanna see Conor McGregor go at it one more time? It really sucks as well, because the card itself was insane.
