WWE holding double SmackDown/Raw taping at end of August

When WWE comes to Cleveland at the end of August, the company will be holding a combined SmackDown/Raw taping.

Rocket Arena in Cleveland has announced that, in addition to SmackDown taking place at the venue on Friday, August 28, there will also be an episode of Raw taped that night. The announcement comes after Charlotte, North Carolina was originally scheduled to host the August 31 edition of Raw. WWE has postponed that North Carolina event and changed it to a SmackDown episode that will be held in Charlotte in February 2027.

It appears that WWE is giving its talent and crew some time off around the start of September. The SmackDown event that was set to be held in Cincinnati on September 4 has been canceled, with no word yet on when and where WWE plans to film that night’s show.

On the Sunday (September 6) of Labor Day weekend, WWE will hold a Sunday Night’s Main Event special in Atlanta. The company then heads to Birmingham, Alabama for Raw before embarking on a tour of Mexico and South America.

WWE recently held a combined Raw/SmackDown in Atlantic City so the company could pre-tape the July 3 edition of SmackDown.
