WWE star shares what The Rock told him after suggesting change to NXT segment

The Rock WWE RAW Cody Rhodes

The Rock’s advice to Ethan Page ahead of their NXT interaction in 2025 struck a chord with the WWE star.

Page recalled working with The Rock ahead of their brief confrontation on-screen at NXT New Year’s Evil in 2025. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight Podcast. he shared the advice The Rock gave him and how it has helped shape his WWE career:

“So I got to tell him that it was a very, very good experience. I’m very happy that I could actually share that with him and just be like ‘Hey, I’m very proud of this and I wanted to say thanks.’ It was very great, but there was an interaction we had when we were going through everything and the situation was very interesting.”

“I ended up putting my hand up like I was in school because they were debating on how to handle something. I was like ‘May I make a suggestion?’ And they’re like ‘Yeah, sure, go ahead.’ I say what I say and they go ‘Yeah, that’s good. We’ll just do that.’”

“After the interview, Rock’s like ‘Hey, don’t ever second guess yourself ever again.’ He’s like ‘If you think it and if you feel it, say it. Worst is we say no.’ So I’ve definitely taken that with me going forward through the rest of my career in WWE and it’s definitely helped me.”

Ethan Page from NXT to Main Roster

Page made his WWE debut on NXT in 2024 and was moved to the main roster on the Raw after WrestleMania this year.
