WWE enters partnership with ReelShort for microdrama project featuring Drew McIntyre & more stars
WWE has entered a collaboration with ReelShort for an original live-action microdrama.
The Hollywood Reporter states that WWE stars and two actors familiar with the genre – Marc Herrmann and Chase Mattson will be involved in the project. Meanwhile from WWE, Drew McIntyre, Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry have been seemingly confirmed to participate in the partnership. Filming will begin next month with the premiere expected for fall.
“By bringing WWE Superstars into the ReelShort cinematic world, we are creating a new storytelling experience for the WWE Universe, while reaching a fresh audience with premium content on ReelShort’s innovative platform,” said Ben Houser, WWE head of original content and development.
Sammie Hao, head of talent and business development at ReelShort expressed the evolution of the product placement.

ReelShort, backed by Crazy Maple Studio, features 1 to 2 minute episodes recorded in vertical formats for audiences to conveniently view on mobile phones and other devices. The stories featured mostly revolve around romance and relationship drama, revenge plots, family conflicts and many more intriguing narratives.
