Danhausen to lead ‘Uncursing Parade’ through New York City
Danhausen did not make an appearance at the New York Knicks championship parade, but he’ll have his own parade this weekend.
WWE has announced that Danhausen will lead an “Uncursing Parade” through New York City this Saturday. It’s happening at 1 p.m. Eastern time in advance of that night’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Danhausen will be facing JD McDonagh in a no DQ match.
The parade is taking place as part of the Fanatics Fest convention and will stream live on WWE’s YouTube channel. It begins at the Javits Center and will end at MSG.
Danhausen became associated with the Knicks when he supposedly “uncursed” them during their title run, allowing the Knicks to advance through the playoffs and ultimately defeat the San Antonio Spurs to win their first NBA Championship in decades.
Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, two of the Knicks biggest stars, are wrestling fans. Brunson has been confirmed to appear at SNME for a segment with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. Earlier this week, Towns met up with Danhausen and credited him for helping bring the Knicks a championship.
A Danhausen lookalike contest will be happening at Fanatics Fest this Sunday.
SNME airs live on Peacock in the United States and Netflix internationally starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time tomorrow.
