AEW’s Daniel Garcia to compete in Germany’s wXw next month
Daniel Garcia doesn’t wrestle very often outside of AEW these days. Next month, however, fans in Germany will get to see him live and in person.
Westside Extreme Wrestling (wXw) announced on social media that Garcia would be wrestling at Shortcut to the Top on August 15.
“Daniel Garcia confirmed for wXw Shortcut to the Top!” the announcement read (originally written in German, automatically translated on X).
“AEW star Daniel Garcia is coming to wXw Shortcut to the Top in Oberhausen on August 15.”
“With his uncompromising style and outstanding technical skills, Garcia has established himself as one of the most exciting wrestlers of his generation. Now he’s stepping into the ring at wXw’s hottest summer event.”
This will be Garcia’s wXw debut. This will be just the second time this year he has wrestled a match outside of AEW and their CMLL partners in Mexico. The first was a win over LaBron Kozone at West Coast Pro Cruel Summer in San Francisco, California, last month.
Garcia won’t be the only AEW wrestler appearing at Shortcut to the Top. Bandido will also be there, defending the ROH World Championship against 1 Called Manders.
wXw has been promoting events in Germany since 2000. Their last event—Broken Rules 2026—took place on July 11 in Frankfurt. Notable names on that show included TNA’s Ricky Sosa and Axel Tischer (formerly known as Alexander Wolfe in NXT).
wXw Shortcut to the Top takes place on August 15 at Turbinenhalle Oberhausen in Oberhausen, Germany. Further information is available here.
