Triple H thinks Bron Breakker can be so much more than ‘just the next Steiner’
Paul “Triple H” Levesque thinks Bron Breakker has the potential to not just continue his family’s legacy but take it to another level.
Ever since Breakker debuted in NXT, there’s been a portion of the fan base unhappy that WWE did not give him the “Steiner” name that his father Rick and uncle Scott made famous. WWE hasn’t shied away from who Breakker is but has wanted to make him to make his own mark and build his own identity.
Season three of WWE: Unreal premiered today, and one of the topics covered is WWE’s attempt to find a new wave of stars. One of those names is Breakker, who Paul “Triple H” Levesque had high praise for. Levesque believes Breakker can do for the Steiner family what The Rock and Roman Reigns did for theirs.
“Bron Breakker — smart, young, hungry, driven, coachable. Athletically has all the gifts,” Levesque said. “The challenge for Bron is, don’t become just the next Steiner, you have an opportunity to be so much more. Much like The Rock was so much bigger than Rocky Johnson. Much like Roman Reigns is so much bigger than Sika. Those talent didn’t lean on the past. They, in their own way, paid tribute to it while creating their own lane.
“You really don’t want to be the next Steiner, you want to be the first Bron Breakker.”
Bron Breakker says WWE career is a dream come true —
Breakker joined the WWE Performance Center in 2021 after attempting to make it into the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens. On “Unreal,” Breakker said entering the family business has always been a dream for him.
“I love WWE. I love wrestling. It’s always been my dream, man,” Breakker said. “I get to live my dream. It’s crazy.”
A pre-WrestleMania hernia surgery, along with competition from other emerging young stars, has halted Breakker’s momentum a bit, but he’s currently a World Tag Team Champion on Raw as a member of The Vision. Breakker & Austin Theory have been defending the belts since their Vision stablemate Logan Paul was forced out of action with a torn triceps.
The Steiner legacy in WWE could continue to grow with Scott Steiner’s son Brock considering a career in the ring. Right now, Brock is still chasing his football dreams with the New Orleans Saints.
