WWE SmackDown ratings info for July 17 episode

CM Punk

Last Friday’s WWE SmackDown averaged 1.243 million viewers on USA, up slightly from the previous week’s 1.212 viewers but still good for their large audience in nearly two months.

The show averaged a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 12.5% week over week and their lowest in five weeks.

It was the go-home for Saturday Night’s Main Event and was built around the fallout of Gunther attacking Nick Aldis as well as Gunther vs. Cody Rhodes with a surprise appearance by CM Punk (seen above).

The episode topped the primetime cable ratings chart on a night without much competition, finishing 50% ahead of the next highest rated show in the key demo. It was second overall on television, trailing only ABC’s 20/20. The show finished fourth on cable in terms of total viewers.

As compared to the same week in 2025, overall viewership was down 19.6% while the 18-49 rating was down 53.3%.
