TNA IMPACT Google Search interest and analysis (last 90 days comparative)

TNA Last 90 Days Google Search interest

Google Search interest for TNA IMPACT as a search term has dropped over the last 90 days, coming in at around 30% lower over the latest three-month period comparative to the previous 90 days. It’s not all bad news for the company though, as average interest for TNA’s Thursday night show was still 8% higher than during the same period last year.

The data below from Google Trends shows that the company has really struggled to get any sort of momentum between shows, with relative spikes around Thursdays then dropping down to around 0 during the week. This doesn’t mean that there were 0 searches for “TNA IMPACT” on days other than Thursday, but that the volume of them was way down compared to Thursdays.

Google Trends scores measure relative search (interest rather than the total number of searches) and the highest point in the selected location and period is assigned a score of 100. It’s not an exact science of knowing how much hype is around a certain event/weekly show, but it’s a good indicator.

Where the biggest TNA Impact search spikes came from

The largest spike reached 100 around the May 14 episode. That show included Eric Young winning a battle royal for a future TNA World Championship match, AJ Francis defeating KC Navarro in a Sactown Street Fight and Cedric Alexander ending Leon Slater’s X-Division Championship reign. Fabian Aichner then appeared after the title change to debut the company following his WWE release.

May 2026

May 21

The next two strongest readings came on consecutive weeks. The May 21 episode reached approximately 87, while May 28 reached approximately 88.

Mike Santana retained the TNA World Championship against Steve Maclin on May 21. The programme also featured Matt Hardy against Vincent and Mustafa Ali defending the International Championship.

May 28

The May 28 episode was built around men’s and women’s Champions Challenge matches. Fabian Aichner faced Eddie Edwards, while Santino Marella and Indi Hartwell opposed Stacks and Arianna Grace.

Search reached approximately 75 around June 4. That episode featured The Righteous defeating The Hardys in a Wicked Garden match, while Eric Young attacked world champion Mike Santana after their confrontation.

July 2026

July 9

The strongest July results were approximately 70 on July 9 and 74 on July 16. Xia Brookside defended the Knockouts World Championship against Léi Yǐng Lee in a No Disqualification match on July 9, while The Hardys defended the tag-team titles.

July 16

The July 16 episode featured Cedric Alexander retaining the X-Division Championship against Fabian Aichner, NXT’s Thea Hail entering the Knockouts Television Championship tournament and Mustafa Ali delivering a State of the Order address.

Compared with the May 14 high point:

  • May 28 was approximately 12% lower.
  • May 21 was approximately 13% lower.
  • June 4 was approximately 25% lower.
  • July 16 was approximately 26% lower.
  • July 9 was approximately 30% lower.

The May 14 episode remained the clear high point for the show over the last 90 days. The May championship changes and world-title matches produced the strongest results, while July showed a recovery after weaker June readings.

It’s interesting that the numbers dipped so much in June for ‘TNA IMPACT’ as a show, due to Tommy Dreamer and a number of other names being released from the company. Under usual circumstances, you’d expect some bump in interest, mainly just due to curiosity, but that doesn’t appear to be the case for the actual Thursday night show.

Below is the data for “TNA” as a search term, so clearly the issues backstage caused a bump in late-June, but that has not transferred into interest in the actual televised programme.
