Kairi Sane comments as WWE 90-day non-compete expires
Kairi Sane posted a message on social media Wednesday as her 90-day WWE non-compete is believed to have expired.
Sane posted a photo of herself standing next to a motorcycle and wrote:
“How Far I’ll Go… See you soon.❤️”
Sane was released by WWE in April as part of a round of roster cuts following WrestleMania.
Shortly after her release, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE believed Sane would move back to Japan at some point and that this factored into WWE’s decision to include her in the roster cuts.
Meltzer wrote:
“The biggest surprise on the list was Kairi Sane (Kaori Housako, 37). She was in the middle of a program where they were teasing her eventually standing up for herself against the bullying of Asuka and getting back together as a team with Iyo Sky. But the angle was dropped cold.
While most were surprised, we were told part of it was the belief she wanted to move back to Japan at some point and with that knowledge it was part of the decision making.”
