AEW wrestler pulled from August indie date due to CMLL commitment
Eddie Kingston will no longer be appearing for Beyond Wrestling next month, but the promotion hopes that they’ll be able to reschedule his appearance before the end of 2026.
The New England-based indie announced that Kingston has been pulled from their Friday, August 28 event in Cranston, Rhode Island due to now being scheduled for CMLL that night. The Beyond show, Americanrana 2026, is being held at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet and is traditionally Beyond’s biggest event of the year.
“Eddie Kingston will no longer be competing at Beyond Wrestling ‘Americanrana’ on Friday, 8/28/26 as he is now scheduled to appear for CMLL in Mexico,” Beyond Wrestling wrote. “We hope to have Eddie Kingston back before the end of the year if his schedule allows.”
We haven’t seen Kingston compete for AEW too often lately, with him and his tag team partner Ortiz mostly working ROH and taking indie dates. The two were featured on the ROH tapings that were held in Jacksonville earlier this week. Kingston & Ortiz also have plans to open their own wrestling school.
Eddie Kingston set for House of Glory title challenge —
Kingston is still scheduled to work an indie date for House of Glory in Queens, New York on Friday, August 7. He’ll be challenging for the House of Glory World Championship against Charles Mason.
