TNA partners with :30 Second Takedown for amateur wrestling tournament
TNA Wrestling is now officially partnering with :30 Second Takedown for an amateur wrestling tournament.
In a recent press release, it was announced that an upcoming tournament feauring 32 amateur wrestlers is scheduled to take place and air after TNA Bound For Glory on October 11, 2026. The tournament is set to begin at 7 p.m. EST.
“TNA Wrestling and :30 Second Takedown are partnering for an unpredictable, energy-filled high-stakes tournament to be broadcast on TNA+” the press release said. “:30 Second Takedown brings together 32 of the country’s toughest amateur wrestlers with one mission: survive and advance until one competitor remains.”
The show will be hosted by Rich Christensen who is a known television producer, and creator. Christensen is best known for creating the hit motorsports series PINKS for Speed Channel.
“From the moment we began discussions, I knew TNA Wrestling was the right partner for :30 Second Takedown. Their passion for great content, deep understanding of combat sports, and collaborative approach made this an easy decision. We couldn’t ask for a better partner,” Christensen said. “:30 Second Takedown isn’t just another wrestling competition—it’s the ultimate test of skill, toughness and survival.”

The rules for TNA’s :30 Second Takedown are as follows, a deck of cards will be shuffled and two cards would then be pulled to reveal two names. The named athletes will then have 30 seconds to step on the mat and take down their opponents. The winner of the bout will advance to the next round while the loser gets eliminated.
The matches will have very less time to predict the opponent’s moves and strategize. The matches will be random and is said to be “a burst of pure adrenaline.”
TNA’s :30 Second Takedown will be filmed in Iowa. George Veras, executive producer for TNA Wrestling, will oversee TV production for :30 Second Takedown.
The 32 participants include current and former college wrestlers from across the country along with others representing elite-level wrestling clubs. The following names have already been confirmed to participate: Justin Grant (McDoubles Wrestling), Brandon Murray (Cyclone Regional Training Center) and Jake Marlin (Team Marlin Wrestling Club), among others.
