Triple H hypes WWE SummerSlam with music star power: ‘It all starts tomorrow’
SummerSlam’s presentation is getting a boost from two major names outside of WWE. Triple H promoted the PLE this weekend with a collaboration with MGK and Fred Durst.
He shared a clip on social media with an edited clip of MGK and Fred Durst’s music video for ‘Fix Ur Face’ and promotional material for the PLE matches. The track released on April 21 is being used as the theme song for SummerSlam
“It all starts tomorrow.
Thanks to @machinegunkelly for adding his sound to @WWE. FIX UR FACE is the official song of #SummerSlam”
The musical duo are not unfamiliar with WWE crossovers. Durst’s band Limp Bizkit provided The Undertaker’s entrance theme ‘Rollin’ in the early 2000s. And MGK has collaborated to perform at varied WWE events.
This is the second year SummerSlam will take place across two days, August 1 and August 2. The match card is stacked with high-stakes feuds and title feuds. Among the marquee matchups are Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship defense against Seth Rollins. The Undisputed WWE Championship is on the line as Cody Rhodes and CM Punk collide in the ring. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who has been associated with WWE since 2023, will make his in-ring debut in the company against Gunther.
