Bandido title defense among matches announced for ROH Death Before Dishonor
Ring of Honor has announced the next challenger for Bandido’s ROH World Championship. And it’s someone whose last championship reign in ROH lasted for more than a year.
ROH announced on social media that Bandido will defend his title against Nick Wayne at Death Before Dishonor in three weeks.
Wayne was still only 19 years old when he won the ROH Television Championship from Komander in April of 2025. He held that title for 387 days, successfully defending it seven times before dropping it to AR Fox last May.
He then traveled to Japan to compete in the Best of the Super Juniors 33 tournament, finishing tied for fourth in the A Block. Upon returning to the United States, he defeated Alan Angels in ROH. He also got a win in AEW over Fox, who by that point had lost the ROH TV Championship to Lio Rush.
This will be the second-ever match between Wayne and Bandido. They wrestled at GCW Maniac in May of 2022, when Wayne was only 16 years old.
Two other title matches have also been announced for the show. Athena will defend the ROH Women’s Championship against Hazuki from Stardom. And Lee Moriarty will defend the ROH Pure Championship against Nigel McGuinness.
ROH Death Before Dishonor takes place at 7 p.m. EST at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Friday, August 21. Tickets are available here.
