A.J. Styles’ son victorious in GCW debut

Avery Styles

Second-generation stars are new in wrestling. SummerSlam alone features Cody Rhodes, Paige, Charlotte Flair, Dominik Mysterio, and of course the entire Bloodline. And the son of another WWE legend made his debut in a new promotion on Friday night.

Avery Styles, son of A.J. Styles, made his pro debut earlier this year. And tonight he made his debut in Game Changer Wrestling.

Styles competed at GCW Play at the Admiral Theater in Omaha, Nebraska. He picked up the win over Alex Lev.

Styles made his entrance to “Demi Gods,” the theme his father used before coming to WWE.

Styles went on to emulate many of his father’s maneuvers, including a shooting star attack off the apron; a sliding elbow to the face; and a reverse DDT. In the end, he got the win A.J.’s original finisher in TNA, the spiral tap.

Styles was then confronted by Marcus Mathers. The two of them will be facing each other at GCW Rude Awakening at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Tickets are available here.
