Adam Copeland announced for upcoming episode of MLP Mayhem

We’ll hear more from Adam Copeland on MLP Mayhem.

In the closing moments of last week’s show, Copeland was revealed as the mystery person who accepted Scott D’Amore’s phone call the week prior. Copeland was announced to be wrestling at MLP Northern Rising on October 3 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, the renovated arena on the grounds of the former Maple Leaf Gardens.

On Saturday, MLP also announced that we’ll hear from Copeland on Wednesday’s episode.

MLP wrote:

“This Wednesday on #MLPMayhem, we hear from @RatedRCope after the shocking revelation that he will be at #MLPNorthernRising! Tune in this Wednesday at Midnight ET/9AM PT on TSN2 in Canada, or this Thursday on @myaewofficial!”

Scott D’Amore comments on Adam Copeland in Maple Leaf Pro

Copeland’s involvement with Maple Leaf Pro was also discussed by D’Amore during the post-MLP Mayhem press conference following Wednesday’s episode.

D’Amore said of Copeland’s involvement with MLP:

“Adam Copeland is one of the few that overcame all those odds without a system like this. I’ve chatted with Adam, and Adam understands that, in addition to the importance and the special nature of getting to wrestle in Maple Leaf Gardens, one of the things that he really loves about this is the fact that he gets to make a difference. While he got the opportunity to go do everything he dreamed of, he knows others that got left behind.”

“Having a mega, mega, mega star like Adam Copeland, the biggest of the biggest, coming here to Maple Leaf Pro, a Canadian legend, a wrestling legend, is huge and can’t be understated. I think that this shows that it’s not just all the up-and-coming amazing talent that’s interested in Maple Leaf Pro, but people all over Canada and all over the wrestling industry are standing up and taking notice.

“You saw Bret Hart on a recent episode of MLP Mayhem. Now you’ve got Adam Copeland coming to wrestle at Maple Leaf Gardens. I just don’t think it gets any bigger than that.”

Also on Wednesday’s episode of MLP Mayhem, Bret Hart appeared in a video speaking about his protege, Mo Jabari. D’Amore also discussed Hart appearing on MLP Mayhem in his press conference, saying:

“They’ve got a very close bond. I’ve seen it. I’ve talked to Bret about it. Obviously, I’ve talked to Mo about it. I think it’s great that Bret didn’t take an interest in Mo because Mo was a wrestler. Bret took an interest in Mo because of his story, because of his and his mother’s plight and their story of coming to Canada for a better life. I think Mo’s story is truly inspirational, and I look forward to watching him develop as the weeks of Mayhem go on.”
