The Undertaker explains reservations about daughter Kaia’s WWE aspirations

The Undertaker shared his concerns about daughter, Kaia, following his career path in wrestling. He admitted having mixed feelings about it while being supportive of her passion.

The Undertaker told Chris Van Vliet on the Insight Podcast that he is not keen on his daughter becoming a wrestler due to the physical sacrifices that go hand-in-hand with the industry. However, she has been training and demonstrating the in-ring skill.

“Unfortunately, probably yes,” responded The Undertaker to Kaia being a future WWE star.

Elaborating on the way he feels, The Undertaker highlighted the physical demands of pro wrestling, and concerns as a parent. He does not want his daughter enduring the health hardships he does but at the same time wants her to pursue her interests.

“I wake up every morning and I do a little body assessment like what’s working today, what isn’t working. I’m not discouraging her from it but those are those kind of the things. Obviously the grind is not like it was when I came up. But I hate thinking of one of my children having to wake up and be in pain like that, but that’s just being a dad. If it’s in her heart and that’s what she wants to do it, then obviously I will do everything in my means to make sure that she does it right. She’s kind of stuck on that flippy do stuff. She’s taken my rope walking and added a flip to it. It’s almost like a ‘see what I can do, Dad. You never did that.’ Okay, all right.”

With The Undertaker and Michelle McCool as parents, it was perhaps inevitable their daughter demonstrated interest and potential in wrestling. Despite the WWE Hall of Famer’s reservations, he is still supportive of her ambitions to compete in the ring someday.
